Does KHAN get knocked out because he's weight drained?

Whatever it is, I find his fights exciting for (a) his incredible handspeed and (b) you never know when it'll be lights out. Khan is flawed technically, fragile chin-wise, but he's great to watch. And I'll watch again.

this is true, it's hard not to be sent reeling when you've got a hop rhythm going, but i dont think dirrell was hopping?

I don't know, I just think the guy has a glass chin. He's damaged goods I think him moving up in weight makes him more vulnerable to even heavier hitters.

im just trying to say dirrell was moving way too fast at times to avoid getting hit, he wound up getting clocked at the process

Under Ariza Khan could take shots and thats that. With his crappy defence he needs Ariza back, or he needs to improve his defence big time. His punch recuperation is bad.

I would have fought a live fighter rather than Molina but I guess he needs a warm up fight. IMO he needs to rematch both Peterson and Garcia, beat em, then move up to 147 and fight Kell and try his best at that weight.

Matthyse would knock him out at 140.

The few of us who actually know boxing, knows that when a guy's weight drained, he's way more prone to being knocked out and dropped, just like when Cotto fought at 140 most recently and a whole list of other fighters who actually had better chins when they moved up in weight despite being hit by bigger men.

I personally think some of Khan's knock outs come down to the fact that he's weight drained.

Other people who also know a thing or too about boxing will easily point out amir kahn is not in any way shape or form weight drained,why you would even try and point that out is beyond me,he has never been weight drained period,he has 2 bad ko losses from 2 hayemaker left hooks he never saw no one on this forum and i bet no one at 140lbs in the pro box ranks would stand up to those left hooks there were monumental absolutely huge!! i dont like amir kahn and im sure he doesnt like me but he has serious boxing attributes that need refining he has an amateurish boxing style that he cant get away with at the top level after maidana alarm bells shoulda been ringing his defense is very poor and his understanding of distance isnt great,he has crazy speed hes strong and he has heart if hunter can polish and kahns capable of learning and adapting at this stage in his career he might be ok.
