The shots that Precott and Garcia did the damage with (left hooks) are shots Khan did not see. He has stood up to massive shots that he has seen but it is the ones he did not see that got him in trouble. Khan is pretty square on with his right hand in front of his face and not to the side of his chin in that position the right hand does not protect his chin and creates a blind spot for a left hook. It is this bad posture that sets him up for getting nailed with left hooks he does not see coming. If he set up like Mayweather showing less chest to his opponent his right hand would cover his chin and he would have complete vision on the right side.
His defence is poor in general and he has very poor head movement and gets hit way too much and that will lead to punch resistance eroding as the fight progresses but it is the left hook he does not see that is his nemisis.

I agree, when a man who's naturally 280 has to kill himself to cut weight, because his opponent and promoter make him fight at 140, it can really hurt you.
      Khan doesn't get enough love

Nah, he'll get KO'd worse at 147, forget about 154. He just doesn't have much of a beard.

@ how hard it is for Khan and Khan's supporters to hear suggestion he has weak punch resistance. What's the deal? Live with it.

I personally think some of Khan's knock outs come down to the fact that he's weight drained.
I wouldnt call it weight drained because he makes weight just fine, weight drained is when you cant make weight and youre weak. But his chin may improve when he moves up in weight, that happens a lot. Cotto as you mentioned, Foreman in his second career and Ali in his comeback all had better chins when they weighed more. I think the heavyweight examples show too that its a higher weight in general that helps as they didnt have to cut any weight earlier in their careers yet their chins got better anyways later.

Sure maybe Khan should move up in weight. But when he gets knocked out there, the excuses will be running out!

                He get's knocked out because of;

Couple that glass jaw with his non-existant defence and you have a potential KO whenever a decent puncher hits him clean.

I hope he moves up to 147, I'd love to see him KO'd in 3 different weight divisions. That would be some achievement

Khan seems very sensitive to weight changes...

He is a light - lightwelterweight

Fight night he weighs 148-150 max.

Yet walks around at just a above 150...

During training & sparring a couple of weeks before the fight he looks very strong weighing around 147..

Then he has to make weight and looks very lean and much weaker...

                    Kinda sucks for him...

@147 he'd be stronger but be pretty much one of the lightest WW alongside Pacquiao. - despite bieng a decent height.

If people only put on a maximum of 10 pounds after the weigh in he'd be all good... But people put of 15-20 these days.

End of 2013 i'd move up if I were him.

Btw weight isn't the reason Prescott & Garcia knocked him out. lol.

As I said most of you don't know boxing. Khan offensively is very very good, yea he lacks defense. He could still beat everybody he lost too and I'm not even a Khan fan.
