Sure Martinez beat Jr but the way he was talking before the fight made it seem like he was going to kill Chavez or at least KO him and we seen how that ended, based off that I think this is a winnable fight for young Canelo.

and Calelito is not as big a fraud as Chavez? What has he done to even warrent a fight with any of those guys, Martinez will beat the **** out of him, he is not one of the little welters and jr welters or old men he has fought. Martinez and Canelo are my 2 favorite fighters and I believe this is a pick em fight. Can Canelo handle the pot shots, speed, n power of a bigger stud like Martinez. And can Martinez handle the power of the young kid who hits like a truck? Canelo is not Chavez, he will throw, and he will connect, so thats what makes this fight intriguing. I personally want to see Canelo vs Cotto or Floyd before this fight happens. If this fight happens, then the only possible oppenents worthwhile for Floyd are Pac and Canelo-Martinez winner. Floyd sits back and lets these 2 go to war. But if this fight happens, I wouldnt gamble on it like I usually do. I really wont pick a winner til fight day.

I think it might be Martinez because he can dictate terms to him.

Cotto will what what he wants to do and won't have GBP or Canelo dictate days to him. maybe Cotto wants to fight again on PR day in NY. all I'm saying is is that Canelo can't dictate dates to Cotto. since Canelo is saying May 5th, Cotto might pass.

Mayweather might be doing the wrestling thing again at wrestlemaina and that's in April, so he won't be fighting until later in the year.

it's a dangerous fight but it's one Canelo has to take IMO. spanish media is starting to get hard on him because he has yet to fight anybody dangerous. he could fight his WBC mandatory winner but both of those guys are dangerous too. if he's has to go into a pick em fight why not make the most money?

Weak sauce....Martinez last 5 opponents' records combined is like 200-4-1 or something like that, LMAO. Canelo is good but he will get utterly murdered by Martinez, he takes way too many shots and Sergio's movement and superior reach will allow him to counter Canelo at will.
