He has a weak chin....because a cruiserweight stunned him?

With respect, I am a Martinez fan but i always questioned his ability to take a hard shot. He is always on the move as a good boxer should be....in and out but in truth Chavez hurt him and hurt him bad and now that his chin has been exposed his opponents will really be extra aggressive and on the hunt for his chin. He better learn to keep his hands up instead of that lame dropped hands stance or he's in for a KO. I think that Chavez Jr needs to grow up and train like a World Class fighter if he wants anyone to take him serious but the fact remains the same...he can take a punch and he can deliver one. He just needs to wake the F#ck up and start showing some real responsibility in life. I would guess that Chavez Senior is livid with his son. The Old man was the S#IT!

No he wasn't. Sonny Liston wasn't stopping Maravilla this night, he wasn't going to let himself lose.

I mean, i have questions about his chin still, but him being stunned by a cruiserweight didnt tell me much in that regard. He took plenty of hard shots from chavez prior to that point aswell.

He took williams hard shots welll, to the point of staying in the pocket and trading with williams, he took pavliks punches, etc.

With martinez' movement and slickness, he controls the fight in this regard.

2nd best comeback of all time. IMO nothing beats Ward/Sanchez, ever.

His chin has been "exposed"? Take the situation into consideration. It's the 12th round, his left hand is injured, he's had a high work-rate for the past 11 rounds (like never before), he exchanges with Jr., gets caught out of position and eats multiple shots by a guy who outweighs him by 13+lbs. Martinez still even has the presence of mind to try and clinch Chavez before he hits the canvas. Somewhere in this moment, he tears some ligaments in his knee. He then gets up and he eats more shots against the ropes before the round ends, and his legs did not buckle/wobble once. Sergio doesn't have an ATG chin, but it's reliable.
