How is Martinez a full blown middleweight when he's never made the limit & only hydrates to 167. That's Margarito type size right there. Like I've always said if Floyd fights at 154 against any fighter not named Martinez it's a duck.
Then how is floyd a full blown 154 if he's never weighed the limit? you jus bash floyd man and your too much of a f@ggot to admit it! So if floyd fights the winner of Lara vs Martirosyan is that ducking martinez? Is martinez ducking Lara?
I suppose Cotto was ducking Martinez aswell by fighting floyd and now trout?

Part of me thinks Floyd doesn't take the fight.

But even that being said, if Floyd asks Sergio to come down to 154 there's gonna be concern as to whether Sergio makes 154 healthy or not anymore. His last few fights he's been coming in 158-159 for weigh ins. Sure, he's obviously not a big Middleweight, but I don't buy that he has to eat more to be a Middleweight, that's more like Dibella making an issue that Martinez is clobbering bigger opponents. If Floyd were to fight him at say 157-158 catchweight for Middleweight title I wouldn't be mad because then there's no excuse.

But I don't think it happens because Floyd isn't gonna give Sergio any type of leverage he can get.

Not so my friend. For starters, Martinez will come down to 154 and Floyd is even a better boxer than Martinez although different too. And the age factor isn't a factor for Floyd or Martinez as they are closer in age than the majority of other active fighters. It makes money, it makes sense as a career finisher as ideally neither Martinez or Mayweather want to shift they weight at this point.

Why not ask Floyd to fight Tyson

Floyd is 147 Sergio is 158-160 on fight night maybe 165, why are you clowns so hell bent on seeing Floyd lose that you want this man to fight guys bigger & stronger hen him? I can see if Sergio was a natural 147 walking around at 154 but he' not. I bet most of the people interested in seeing a fight like this are *******s becuse no true boxing fan would ever want to see a guy fight someone that out weights him. *******s should stick o chaing behind thei catch weiht king pacroid & stay out of fight matching business. Thy truly make themselves look ****** with these boxing match ups that don't make since.......

Think i care if i get reported on a boxing site? Your the e-thug insulting clearly who of the best fighters of our era consistently and expecting no one to call your on your bull****. I didn't come to this forum to insult people but the level of ignorance in countered here has deviated me from my intentions of discussing fights and fighters in an appropriate way. So you be the man and show fighters their deserved respect. Floyd Vs Martinez is A great fight at 154 and 160, in my opinion Martinez went to 160 for lack of fights at 154 and Floyd the same 147 to 154, I truly believe Floyd wins at 154, at 160 its a toss up i think. It would be great to actually discuss how it would go at either weight, and i would be interested to hear your opinion! Would you agree at 154 its a better win than ward vs dawson

To you. To me B-Hop is the best fighter of this last era.

If Floyd were to beat Martinez at 154, it would be his best win. There's no need to bring Ward into this discussion.

Fair enough! B-Hop is an ATG, but has he ever been as dominant against anyone as Floyd has been against say Corrales or Gatti? He has gone up 1 less weight. But at the level of Floyd and B-Hop it is Preference. I was not bringing up ward but the parallels the fight has, 1 fighter droping weight, orthodox vs southpaw, speed vs speed and adaptation vs craft

But am i wrong that you have ward 1 p4p

It would surely be Floyd's best win! Who do you see as the aggressor?

                    I don't understand the bold.

I really don't consider dominating Gatti or Corrales as great achievements. Considering Corrales dropped a weight class for the fight & Alfonso Gomez retired Gatti.

B-Hop handing Trinidad his a$$ & ruining Pavlik or dominating Tarver are greater, take your pick.

Martinez will press the fight. Floyd is a counter puncher at higher weights & Martinez left to the body will kill all dat rope-a-dope early.

Hopkins made his name by beating smaller guys like Trinidad,Pavlik and Oscar!
I like him but he is over rated. He is also one of the dirtiest fighters I have seen.Wouldn't rate him as good a boxer as Mayweather or Marquez but I do respect what he has done for the sport
