      Chavez Jr II, then Mayweather.

      Why?

If Sergio fights Mayweather, Chavez Jr is gone to 168 by the time Sergio is ready to fight him again.

If he fights Chavez Jr again now, Mayweather will still be available in 2013.
I don't believe Chavez will move up to 168 though. Maybe temporarly against Pavlik, but that's it. Chavez is only able to get by with his weight advantage. Without it, he won't survive.

If Chavez fights a couple credible opponents and wins impressively while Martinez fights Floyd, the rematch will be even bigger than what an immediate rematch would be. Also, if Martinez beats Floyd, the rematch will be even bigger. The only problem I see with this scenario is that he'll have to come down to 154 to fight Floyd and having to come back to 160 to fight cruiserweight will be hard to do.

I think the Mayweather fight is better for him because I think he wins that fight and that would make him a bigger star and moneymaker. His purse might be pretty close for both fights because he would probably get a 50-50 split with Chavez and Floyd would want a 75-25 split or something like that. Many just assume Floyd will be fighting at least two more years but I have not heard Floyd say he will be fighting again. He might be retired now.

Well personally I could care less how much more millions, millionaires make. But Floyd/Martinez at 154 is the fight that needs to happen.

We've seen enough gimme's & bull$h1t matchmaking to last a life time. The #2-3 pfp fighters in the world meeting at 154 makes more sense than any other big money fight.

No Way Floyd would ever consider fighting Martinez. It's too risky for him!!! He's not taking that kind of chance

which fight is "better" for Martinez??

well he has a better chance of surviving the rematch with Jr than winning a round vs Floyd.

I hope this fight happens so everyone can see Martinez is not an A-class boxer. He couldn't catch mayweather, he would problably knock himself out in the 11th round.

All you need to do is watch the Jr fight again and note how accurate that C-grade fighter's connection rate was compared with martinez and you know Floyd would be laughing straight to the bank.

How yall actually believe sergio stands a chance vs Money; I got no idea.

He tries to dance around like an RJJ wannabe, except he actually gets caught by slow punches...

Not even remotely close, everyone in the sport makes more money with Floyd than anyone else.

He needs to fight Floyd, but I doubt Floyd will ever get in the ring with him until Sergio turns 40+.

You should have seen the Floyd fans up in arms yesterday. I mean the levels of ****** crap they tossed around to defend Floyd ducking Martinez was insane.

How is Martinez a full blown middleweight when he's never made the limit & only hydrates to 167. That's Margarito type size right there. Like I've always said if Floyd fights at 154 against any fighter not named Martinez it's a duck.
