From round 1 to 11, Martinez made it a very boring fight.

He gave that bum plenty of opportunities, but Chavez was too chicken ***t to throw. Plus he's just supposed to stand still in front of a freaking Cruiserweight wtf?

Martinez made him look like an amateur.

Same way Floyd makes #1 p4p contenders look.

      totally outclassed.

Martinez went toe to toe last round to give what the fans want; a war. when he could easily potshot throughout the end.

martinez traded with him numerous times throughout. But at the same time he stuck to his gameplan of using lateral movement, popping the jab, which is what any boxer is supposed to do against a brawler.

But there were times when I kept tell myself, "man just go for the knockout". It's possible if he would have tried to step it up a little more he could have got chavez out of there, instead of wasting so much energy and nearly running completely out of gas by the 12th round.

In the end dominating performance by Sergio, but could have been even better imo.

Really wish the sanctioning bodies would do that because it's ridiculous how much some of these guys blow up after weigh-ins. It's terrible.

Well said man, best way to refute 15 rounders as a way to have given Jr a better chance. Had there been same day weigh ins, Jr would have never seen past the 8th round.

Martinez won every exchange whenever Chavez decided to trade.

In the bold, nothing more needs to be said. I swear what are people thinking man?

I thought it was a pretty entertaining fight, but if you want to blame anybody for "boring" blame Jr. He literally followed Martinez for the first 10 rounds barely throwing any punches, I thought he was too intimidated to open up in fear of getting punished even more.

JCC made it boring, Martinez could've easily stayed on the outside the whole fight, instead he stayed right in front of Chavez, trading shots even when he was hurt. Martinez was RIGHT there in front of Chavez, I thought it was very foolish, still Chavez threw nothing.
