I'm a Mayweather Jr. fan and I think Alvarez with his size, pressure-style and power at 154 would be a nightmare for Floyd. Age is also a factor here. Over a 10 year age difference. I'm not sure who would win that fight at 154. I think Alvarez has looked impressive because he hasn't really fought anyone significant. I would like to see how he responds to those shots Lopez landed if it came from a true 154-pounder. Mayweather is not a true 154-pounder. He'll come in at 150 on fight night and Alvarez will have a 14-15 pound weight advantage.

Mayweather vs Canelo would be as ONESIDED as Martinez vs Chavez Jr.
Can we let these guys get TESTED FIRST before we throw them in with the P4P Best...maybe if Chavez Jr would have gotten some experience in BIG FIGHTS against BETTER COMPETITION he would have been better prepared...same for Canelo...Fight Lara and Trout...then if you beat them impressively then try to go after Mayweather and Cotto...but right now I see both of them giving Canelo a Lesson...HELL I think both Trout and Lara would give Canelo a Lesson
Beating on a LIGHT WELTERWEIGHT did not prove ANYTHING!

Let's give Josesito some credit, what a fighter. He gives 110% even though he's totally outgunned.

Alvarez should fight Molina, Kirkland, Quintana, or Dzinziruk in December. And it makes too much sense to not have him fight the Cotto/Trout winner in May. If he were to win those, lets him fight Mayweather. At least it'll be a legit big fight then.
But judging by what he's done lately, he'll fight Marcos Maidana in December and than fight the winner of Garcia-Morales II in May. Just kidding.....well sort of.

alvarez vs lopez was a good display of a naturally bigger/stronger guy beating up on a naturally much smaller guy. alvarez is the next hype job to get exposed once he finally steps up and fights an elite fighter or at least someone who is just as big and just as strong as him.
