Martinez won't beat Floyd. Floyd will be able to time him with single punches and Martinez will have trouble doing the same.

This post has got to be a joke. Bradley would be Floyd's easiest fight in years. He's smaller, weaker, and a little slower while lacking Floyd's ring intelligence so there is no way in hell Bradley challenges Floyd.

Martinez hasn't made 154 in years and based on his 30 day weigh ins is cutting down from at least 180 these days. He would be drained at the weight, and easy work for Floyd. It would be a huge disappointment.

I think Lara gives Floyd a good fight, and if Floyd loses enough physically might beat him.

Triple G would have the best chance

the fact that you have to traverse 3 weight classes (4 if you take the middleweight champ into consideration) to look for a fighter to beat floyd at 35 yrs old says a lot........ But im wondering, does this mean that 140 -154 is garbage or for all the hate that he receives, do you all believe floyd is really that good? just askin.

I think after sept 16th we will have a good idea. I would say Canelo is as close as anyone could get, besides a rematch with Cotto.

Martinez is gonna go back to cycling after this fight... I wouldn't count on him any longer when it comes to boxing.

The divisions aren't exactly overflowing with exceptional talent, but 140 and 154 are pretty good. Floyd is just an all time great, you aren't going to find many fighters that can beat him, even now. There are some that would push him though, don't doubt that.

He has no jab, hes a pot shotter that doesnt throw alot of punches, hes not a body puncher, and he has no right hand whatsoever. Wheres the danger in that? His best attribute is his movement and he has some power I guess. But you cant beat someone like Floyd on movement alone.

Floyd wont fight Martinez because his last fight against Lee did 6 hundred grand at the gate. Floyd will spend that betting on the NFL this weekend lmao. I dont get whats wrong with Argentines. Serg is the best they have and his own people dont support him. They come out to watch the soccer team when their here in the states. Maybe they dont care about boxing.

                    Do you even watch boxing?

Martinez's right jab is a missle. matthysse rolls with his ounches and catches the majority with his glove. He gets hit clean also, but nowhere near as much as you make it out. Marg wasnt ever as cagey as Lucas or as powerful a puncher..or as good to the body. Marg was just a tank.

Howd that Martinez - Lee fight go anyway? Musta missed it

Martinez doesnt throw punches though? In terms of a "slick" fighter Martinez throws a lot of punches...from my memory he throws closeto 700 a fight except against Macklin. Not bad for a middle weight "counter" puncher.

Anyway, Floyd is better than Martinez but is he good enough to beat him at that weight? Martinez is good enough to make a size/strength advantage be a determining factor.

Also, someone mentioned Matthysse grtting outboxed by Zab... Floyd did too at times its not like theres shame in that. Zab on a good night is a sight.

Anyway Matthysse needs to show me more against someone else before I put him in the category as a good challenger to the throne. Hes proved to be more than hype...but he's not in the conversation just yet when mentioning Floyd and the elite guys. Another big fight and win will probably change that.

Maravilla is the only one with the best shot. He will and should be an underdog but if anyone can get it done he can.
