Calslappy fans always have the official decision to fall back on and it's true he did win. But history sees him for what he was and nothing can change that. Hopkins was 1 fight. Calzaghe had a gift of having hands so fast judges can't tell if he's landing or not. Not to mention great stamina to keep the swatting going for 12. We have the benefit of slow motion. Nobody is under any illusion Joe did any damage to Hopkins and everyone knows he wasn't half the fighter. End of story.

I have been watching boxing for 40 plus years and I thought Joe won rather easily. And I am sure they will say all the highlights that you pointed out when he goes into the Hall of Fame.

I have watched the fight several times and guess what? Joe has won each time. And you really should get over it and move on. Because it is not healthy to hang on to all that anger. And I can't imagine what you will do when Joe goes into the Hall of Fame in the near future?

Any Calzaghe fan would think he won it was a close fight. Any Hopkins fan would think he won. Doesn't change the fact that all the negative stuff about calzaghe is true. There is mountains of video evidence on this site alone.

no he didn't. he didn't allow hopkins to hold in the first half of the fight even when he had hands free and was punching calzaghe. cortez never allows infighting. he's just a terrible ref who breaks people no matter what.

i'm just trying to goad him into a comeback because i love him so much. i hope he reads my posts and gets inspired.

how do you win a round when you land 2 clean punches(really slaps) and your opponent lands 6 or 7 hard proper shots with power? because the other guy spoiled and you threw a lot? he got shut down. blame calzaghe for being so impotent or give hopkins credit for having great defense(an actual scoring criteria unlike throwing punches)

How many years has it been and you all are still crying and you say I am delusional? There was no question in my mind that Joe frustrated and beat Hopkins. And most of Bhop's fans can't get past that fact.
