Jeez all Manfredo had to do was throw a good left hook and he would have crippled calslappy. I bet he kicks himself everyday over that video. I can't believe Hopkins couldn't put more of a beating on him.

This thread should be R-rated now that that .gif has been posted.

      Thank Christ I skipped lunch.

fantastic chin by the ref to take a flush shot and remain standing.

Calzaghe would've benefited from an early loss.

I absolutely love Joe Cal but let's keep it funky. He wanted absolutely nothing to do with a prime Roy who would have thoroughly beaten him to a pulp. Would have been great while it lasted though.

how can you lose when this happens in almost every one of your fights?

At the end of the day Joe Calzaghe was an unbeaten clean fighter while Roy Jones Jr. was a drugs cheat.

There is no such thing as a prime Roy Jones, just like there is no such thing as a prime Marion Jones or a prime Lance Armstrong - just illusory frauds.

Calzaghe went into the backyard of clean champion Bernard Hopkins and beat him fair and square along with every other opponent he faced and that's what he'll be remembered for, not some throwaway semi-joking interview.

but but but Joe Cortez was the ref and wouldn't allow Hopkins to maul calzaghe and let hopkins fight the kind of fight he wanted!!

hopkins wouldn't let calzaghe hit him with his wide inaccurate punches. still lost. hopkins landed all the clean punches and buckled calzaghe 5 times in the fight. still lost. calzaghe is that good!
