Floyd is not prime, he's losing speed, losing footwork, having to fight toe to toe more often now. Martinez arguably is at his peak, while it's agreed on by many that Floyd is past prime.
Bernard Hopkins got his first big win at 35, against Tito Trinidad. Then got more big wins after that, all the way up to 46. That's an exception, he never fought amateur, and got a late start. You could say Martinez, although stylistically different from Hopkins, actually has that in common with B-Hop. In which he got his first big win at 35, against Pavlik, followed it up with Williams, then Macklin, now Chavez Jr. You just don't know when Martinez will hit the past prime mark. It could be in his next fight, it could be at 45 years old. We don't know, he started late.
Floyd however, we know his time is coming to an end because we see the gradual decline in his performance. He still dominates, and still hasn't lost, but that just shows how great he is, not how young he still is.
