So, I guess either no 1 told you or you chose to ignore the fact that Kirkland was injured & that 2 champions in his weight class were prepared to fight him then??
These people have either been suckered in by Schaeffer or are just plain hugging Canelo's nuts.

kirkland was not injured when he signed on for the fight. there's an interview on leave it in the ring radio where he outlines it.
he went to camp and got hurt.
do you really expect that GBP signed him to fight knowing that he would get injured?
what's the motivation? you really think they want to impress fans with the opponent choice, and then avoid the fight because they know he's injured?
having fights fall through costs these guys months of time and at the very least tens / hundreds of thousands of dollars.

he was cleared by doctors to enter camp and he aggrivated the molina injury during camp.
no fighter or top athlete is ever truly 100%.
it happens, man. these are top flight athletes who push their bodies beyond their limits to condition them for one hard night of work.
how it's canelo's fault is beyond me, but you guys just don't like the guy.
i'm telling you how it is, and doing my best to be subjective.
i like canelo. i'll go on the record saying i like canelo. i like lara, i like kirkland, i even like molina

williams broke his f#ckin back on a motorcycle
is a 22 year old mexican prospect responsible for that, too?
you guys act like canelo is sitting in a castle somewhere hiding under his bed from these guys
wait a year and you'll see canelo in there with the best 154 lber on the planet.
se llama floyd mayweather, y es un gran campeon.

The Williams thing is understandable but doesn't change the fact that Kirkland was approached while injured and were trying to make him fight like that. Kirkland stood up for himself and said fk that unless I get more money.
It also doesn't change the fact there is a WHOLE division that was willing to fight this guy. There was no need to bring Josesito up to 154. And if I remember correctly they asked Josesito on FNF if he would fight Canelo and I believe he said "Idk that's too much weight" or something along those lines. But of course money changed his mind. He even said he would had preferred the fight at a catchweight.
Just cause we see Canelo in there with Floyd doesn't mean he's ready for Floyd nor deserves the fight with him. Fight one of the top 154 lbers and beat them to show you're worthy then let's talk about a Floyd fight.Last edited by .:: JSFD26 ::.; 08-11-2012, 02:48 PM.

I don't even know where you came up with this ****** crap from considering the Punisher was signed before Kirkland injured, ever was.
