I just realized how much of a robbery these sanctioning bodies are. Do you see the amount of money they bid? That's ridiculous. You think Arum is gonna make that money back from a Vanes-Lara fight? Probably not. Lol but screw Arum anyway.

What if Arum puts it on jcc/martínez card?! Stick it to gbp and use one of their fighters on the competing card

And no champion is going to fight him anyway. Maybe Baysangurov in Europe but he won't go there. He should take that fight and there's no excuses for turning it down.

Yea, Lara's people been saying since the purse bid was announced that they wanna look for a title shot instead of trying to fight Vanes. But if there's no title shot they need to go on with this fight.

Someone tell Lara to take that damn fight... I like him too much to have to turn away from him now.
He's with Al Haymon now so let's see what happens. Is Trout with Haymon too? If so that match up is pretty much out the window IMO and K9 not gonna fight him so there's really no more champs except the European guy. There's probably no excuse for backing out this fight. But like I said, I just hope he stays motivated enough for it...

Lara is either going to fight Vanes or go directly into a title fight. Either way works. Good to see Vanes finally step up. 2 years ago Vanes said no one was willing to fight him. Lara called him out on it and then Vanes made exuses about Lara not being a name. Now that Lara beat Williams in a high profile fight, it looks pretty certain. Both Lara and Vanes agreed to this one.

I'm about 90% sold on Lara...We'll definately find out if this fight comes off. For all of the trouble Vanes's mouth gets him into, he can clearly fight, and he trains at one of the toughest gyms in the world, so I believe he'll be ready. Sounds like a lot of you guys are as interested in this one as I am.
