Khan going on about PBF aging and becoming vulnerable. So he goes in thinking he's on the cusp of greatness. That he's going to overwhelm the fading hero and catapult himself into atg-ness in one fell swoop.
Floyd lets him think it. Allows him some small success early as bait for the trap and then KHTFO in brutal, highlight-reel fashion.
And for years we'd have to hear from Floyd haters and butthurt fanboys about how "Khan was easily beating Floyd until Floyd landed a lucky punch"
When did Garcia become a huge puncher? He has some decently heavy hands and some pop but it not like he is some super fearsome puncher either.
He hurt Khan so badly because Khan left him self extraordinarily wide open thanks to throwing a lead left hook followed by a right uppercut, if Khan threw that same combo against Floyd I would question if he would even get up~
This is all true.......khans combinations are predictable. I think ortiz is a better boxer than khan, has a better chin and has more power than khan and mayweather easily outboxed, controlled and dominated Ortiz. Plus Ortiz is a southpaw and comes into the ring as a MW.

That's exactly how the fight would happen. That's hilarious you just posted that because that's how the fight plays out in my mind.
Floyd's left hook is better than Garcia's also~ in whatever way he wants to use it. I don't know why people never talk about his hook, but it is a thing of beauty.

The fight can start many ways, but they pretty much all lead to Khan making a huge mistake and Floyd is expert at making people pay for even marginal mistakes he would be like a kid in a candy store.
He would probably end up talking to Lampley about who he likes in the NFL playoffs during the fight again~ right before sleeping Khan.
Cotto wasn't outboxed by Pacquiao, he was beaten to a bloodypulp but he was not outboxed. Also having faster hand speed is not the reason for Floyd outboxing Cotto, it was down to his timing, accuracy and defense both inside and outside.
I think the handspeed differential was significant. If Cotto had faster hands he could have given Floyd many more problems in the centre of the ring. I think Cotto won one round on the outside, Zab did better, mostly because he was beating Mayweather to the punch.
Floyd does have the power to hurt Khan, I think people underrate Mayweather's punching power. He shook Cotto and he shook De La Hoya with single shots, both fighters with stronger chins than Khan. Those fighters were also Jr Middleweights, Khan is a light Welterweight.
I don't recall that. He shook a tired Cotto in the 12th but again that's accummulation.
Maybe he has underrated punching power but when has Mayweather ever rocked a fighter early on in a fight? it's always in the second half of a fight, if at all.
I understand that styles make fights but Khan does not have the style to beat Mayweather. He's shown that he cannot fight on the inside, he has shown that he tires let in a fight, he has shown that his speed is easily negated by timing.
Against who? Garcia's punching power stopped Khan, not his timing.

If Khan fights Mayweather the event should be called The Slaughter.
While Floyd has shaken fighters with better chins than Khan, Khan has stayed off the canvas against fighters who hit harder than Floyd. So it's not that simple. Just to argue the other way, since this thread has decided overwhelmingly that Khan will get knocked cold.
