I don't remember Cotto being outboxed either. Also Khan's problems are not limited to fighters who have power, Peterson is not an exceptionally hard hitter neither was Limond. Garcia isn't exactly a prolific puncher either.

Khan's problem is that he gets hits with big shots flush.

Mayweather would more than likely stop Khan. It doesn't bode well for Khan that he fades in the later rounds of a fight.

Yea he probably would, no matter how careful Khan is he is going to slip up and once he starts slipping up the fight turns into a downward spiral that can really only end one way.

If Floyd hurts someone he usually gets the job done~ and it would probably be sick.

Cotto was outboxed by Pacquiao, who has faster handspeed - same reason Floyd outboxed him. Khan is faster than both FMJ and MC.

Realistically Floyd doesn't have the power to hurt Khan with a single shot like Garcia or Prescott, and you'd see the best Amir v Mayweather, it makes for an interesting stylistic match-up.

Khan's rep took a hit at the weekend, but neutral boxing fans know styles make fights.

But Floyd isn't a massive KO puncher, and he isn't going to sit down and put everything he has on a huge punch like Garcia did, and he doesn't go all out to finish fighters either. I think this fight goes the distance.
Khan isnt as tough as Ssm, Ortiz or Cotto....hell Hatton would be a tougher fight

Pac didn't outbox Cotto, he outsped him and outfought him. Floyd properly outbox Cotto, not because he was faster but because he was more skilled.

The guy in your avatar had a much stronger chin than Khan and he got dropped by Floyd with one shot, what do you think would happen to Khan if he ran into a check hook?

When did Garcia become a huge puncher? He has some decently heavy hands and some pop but it not like he is some super fearsome puncher either.

He hurt Khan so badly because Khan left him self extraordinarily wide open thanks to throwing a lead left hook followed by a right uppercut, if Khan threw that same combo against Floyd I would question if he would even get up~

Cotto wasn't outboxed by Pacquiao, he was beaten to a bloodypulp but he was not outboxed. Also having faster hand speed is not the reason for Floyd outboxing Cotto, it was down to his timing, accuracy and defense both inside and outside.

Floyd does have the power to hurt Khan, I think people underrate Mayweather's punching power. He shook Cotto and he shook De La Hoya with single shots, both fighters with stronger chins than Khan. Those fighters were also Jr Middleweights, Khan is a light Welterweight.

I understand that styles make fights but Khan does not have the style to beat Mayweather. He's shown that he cannot fight on the inside, he has shown that he tires let in a fight, he has shown that his speed is easily negated by timing.

If Khan fights Mayweather the event should be called The Slaughter.

                  Agree with this.

                  Here's an alternate scenario :

Khan going on about PBF aging and becoming vulnerable. So he goes in thinking he's on the cusp of greatness. That he's going to overwhelm the fading hero and catapult himself into atg-ness in one fell swoop.

Floyd lets him think it. Allows him some small success early as bait for the trap and then KHTFO in brutal, highlight-reel fashion.

Even if you believe that, it just demonstrates that skilled boxers have issues with superior handspeed.

Come on, we both know he didn't get dropped by one shot, nor did the fight change on one shot. It was an accumulation over 10 rounds, a lot of fighters could have stopped Hatton in the condition he was in by the 10th, even Paulie.

I believe his speed would give Floyd problems, just like Zab's did. I also think Khan could take Floyd's power. I think it's an entertaining fight and I don't think it ends in a KO.
