      Cant bash Canelo people. He had 3 quality opponents lined up (Pwill, Kirkland, Ortiz) and look what happened. And we all know he wants cotto but cotto is resting til december and he wants floyd but floyd is on vacation. And I know Lopez is small but Lopez earned the fight and the payday. Look what happend to Khan. Dont count any fighter out.

        I don't understand this argument at all. Why is that a reason to give Canelo a pass? Why does it matter if they had 3 quality opponents lined up when they have tons of more quality opponents left to choose from? It's not like they went through everyone and only Lopez was available. In fact, they could have fought opponenets that were better than the ones Canelo originally wanted. There's Lara, who really beat Williams. And there's Molina, who was beating Kirkland. And there's a ton more including title holders.

          IDK about that. We have to remember that Canelo is very young. He's going to get better every fight and with more experince.

          Its like people were bringing up the Gomez-Carson Jones fight to downplay Jones & call him a bum but Carson was also very very young when he fought Gomez. They get better after that and I think Canelo is better now than he was thenjust as Jones was.

          This is a lil different than Jones because Jones fought Gomez a long time ago while the Canelo fight was pretty recent but he's still had 2 fights since and I think he will keep getting better each time out.

          With that being said, he has to start fighting more bigger guys because if he fights a guy like Kirkland next then it could be a shock to his system after fighting so many smaller/weaker guys.

              Yeah it's total bull****. There are many other good opponents that Canelo could be facing, but Lopez gave GB ideas when he referred to himself as the 'Mexican Paul Williams'. Can't believe they went for it. They have some gaul.

              It's ****ty but if Lopez wins, that's a superstar for sure. I don't think he has a chance against someone so big but it looks like it's happening anyway.

              And nah, Sergio gonna tax that ass.

                    Golden Boy had to try and top Top Rank and that's why the Lopez fight is going down on September 15th. The size difference will be there. Would be amazing if Lopez stopped Canelo too. If he can put the weight on properly should be a good scrap or a mismatch. I'm looking more forward to seeing Chavez Jr/Martinez.
