I think that he let the fight go on more than it was necessary. After the first knockdown he gave Khan more time to recover, even though he was in pretty bad shape.
The last round was completely unnecessary, Khan was just too hurt to continue and was just covering himself.
Bayless is one of my favorite referees, but I think tonight wasn't his best.

Goes to show that Khan's blatant pushing is actually illegal. After a bunch of warnings from ref Cooper, he got points deducted twice for literally pushing Peterson. Bayless also noticed this and warned Khan for it. Luckily Garcia knocked him out before Khan could push anymore. Khan needs to stop pushing, this is not street fighting where you blatantly push your enemy around to make space. There is subtle shoving, but when you start pushing like Khan did to Peterson and Garcia, that's plain wrong.

He did however warn Khan for pushing so props there.

But after that first knockdown, are you kidding me? He bought him at least an extra 5-8 seconds & gave him every chance going.

He did it with the second to after he touched down.

When Khan was holding he almost purposely allowed Khan to hit Garcia with an uppercut twice.

        What a horribly bias ref!

On a side note, Khan pulled that ****** face again when hurt and he was mocking Judah for his chicken dance hahaha, admit it whatever the fcuk he did at the end of that round did make you smile/laugh. Anybody got a vid/GIF of that?
He did his job which is to protect the fighter. He prevented the inevitable and maybe some serious injuries.

Yea.... I kind of thought that because he was KD'd with like 30 + seconds left and barley made it out

Quite the opposite, fair enough giving him the benefit of the doubt but he took a lot of unnecessary punishment IMO

The guys legs was gone, his senses was scrambled and he had virtually no defense at all & boy was Garcia swinging for the fences.

Shots like that have a lasting effect though amazingly after hearing the post interview they may of actually knocked some sense into Khan.

I just pray now there isn't 6 months of whinging & excuses to follow..

To be honest, Bayless always gets a ton of respect from me but I thought the fight should have been stopped after the first knockdown. Khan was in seriously fucked up shape and couldn't even raise his gloves. Bayless was definitely worried about stopping the fight on a big fighter like Khan like that, but it would've been the right thing to do.

I am sure if you watch the crowd there were strange things going on there also.
Want the fight declared NC? Really, for what? Garcia deserved the win. It wasn't controversial, Danny floored him and eventually stopped him. He deserves the win. An NC would be far more controversial and damaging.
