Thats your argument? Come stronger than that next time. Its not my fault Russell Jr needs to comment on an established fighter like Donaire, who after 17 fights took on Vic Darchinyan and KOed him. If you are going to talk about how great you are you do need to prove it. .

Heavily debateable. Chavez destroyed that dude. Anytime you take a beating like that you will never be the same fighter after that.

Dr. Flip Homansky, who examined Taylor following the fight and immediately sent him to the hospital, summarized his injuries by saying "Meldrick suffered a facial fracture, he was urinating pure blood, his face was grotesquely swollen... this was a kid who was truly beaten up to the face, the body, and the brain". Taylor also showed signs of disorientation and short-term memory loss common to head injuries and concussions

Meldrick was a shell of the fighter he once was after that fight with Chavez fight.

The career he could have had was gone.

But at least he had the balls to test himself, too many fighters these days are afraid to take risk an just live on there hype.

Which fight do you think was worse for his career...... Chavez or Norris???

I say Norris and don't see how its debatable..... The facts are there

Chavez because he literrally knocked the prime years out of him in one fight. Your honestly saying that the Melrick Taylor that fought Chavez was the same Meldrick Taylor that fought Terry Norris? He even looked like crap against Brown and Garcia.

The facts are that he suffered brain damage from the Chavez fight which affected him for the rest of his career. The Norris fight was just a cash out.

I've heard Norris cannot speak in complete sentences....really messed up, and that was in his early 30's.

But the minute we start thinking that Russell fighting Dib or Franco is rushing.....then there has to be something wrong with Russell, or that observation. Both are winnable fights that he avoided. Fights that would justify his place and in calling out the elite fighters.
