What are some cold hard facts about Boxing that you hate to admit?

What are some bad things about Boxing that you hate to admit but you know it's true (or close to becoming true). Or maybe that your favorite fighter is getting old and will retire soon etc. Something negative.

For me it's gotta be that the GOD of boxing aka Dinamita aka Juan Manuel Marquez is getting old and has about 2 or so fights left. I really want one of the two to be Pacroid, but i know that ****phobic sociopath will not give it to him in fear of losing (again). He also got hit more than I expected by some bum and didn't score a kd skills are on the decline

People keep saying "boxing is dead after Pacquiao and Floyd" and it's close to becoming true. Do we really a boxer that will constantly do 1.3+ PPV buys on a regular basis? I don't think so.

    -Marquez is getting slower
-Marquez's legs are all but gone
-Marquez will lose in a fight or 2
-Marquez will retire within a year and a half

    -Linares won't amount to anything

    -Broner is skilled

Yes it is definitely coming to the realization that a favorite fighter is getting old and on his way out.

Hate to admit that the sport can take an immense physical and sometimes fatal toll on fighters who I will have never watched or will ever remember, and even many great champions.

Watching a prospect you put hopes in get destroyed on his way up

Boxing takes advantage of naive fighters

People think that boxing on NBC deal was good for boxing but in reality no one is gonna watch that shit aside from the first one (which featured Zab Judah) and it will die down, meanwhile UFC on FOX stays strong and relevant.

we're never getting 1 world title to a division
sanctioning bodies make too much money to go away
and unification series' are few and far between
even if fighters want it, their promoters and organizations don't

boxing will never get the mainstream recognition it deserves
there will always be a few big stars who hook the public's imagination
but boxing will never get the attention NBA, NFL, and MLB get
boxing is a violent sport where people get hurt
too many pussies can't appreciate it or market as family entertainment

Kinda sad that UFC started as a shadow of boxing yet they can do all of those things.

Look at the ratings for the first 3 UFC on FOX. They have dropped dramatically every time.
