They still do bigger numbers than any free boxing fight.

Boxing requires that you pay for premium channels such as HBo or Showtime

        1. The fact Marquez is on his way out
        2. No unified sanctioning bodies to overlook belts
        3. The fact that boxing is a Mafia if there has ever been one
        4. The subtle, unhealthy divide between people of color that the sport sometimes encourages
        5. The fact that professional boxing is a sport that the human body wasn't made for

Yes...but when Canelo draws 1.3 million on HBO which is only offered in 30 millions and the UFC does 1.4 on a channel available on 300 million what conclusion am I to draw from that

For me it's gotta be that the GOD of boxing aka Dinamita aka Juan Manuel Marquez is getting old and has about 2 or so fights left. I really want one of the two to be Pacroid, but i know that ****phobic sociopath will not give it to him in fear of losing (again). He also got hit more than I expected by some bum and didn't score a kd skills are on the decline

People keep saying "boxing is dead after Pacquiao and Floyd" and it's close to becoming true. Do we really a boxer that will constantly do 1.3+ PPV buys on a regular basis? I don't think so.

PPV have little relevance to the 'popularity of boxing'

            in fact PPV killed boxing

            there was threads about this.

            Compare this ok :

Is boxing more popular now or during the Ali Frazier days?

Ali Frazier made the world stop, they didn't even have PPV

What they did have is free network TV.

So once again ****ing pulling out PPV numbers is beyond ******.

If you put the big boxing matches on say ABC. On a sunday night. people will turn in even for Seth Mitchell

Boxing is not dying because of Floyd and Pac leaving

it's dying because of lack of coverage and easy access to the main stream.

            Like NFL NBA. ETC

Also boxing is fine in other countries

              Once again

Friday night fights on ESPN is not the way to draw in boxing mainstream

People don't realize how big the NFL NBA is because of the fact they are
              on main stream TV.

If everyone had to pay for NFL games,, watch the ratings go down by at least 25%.

Even god damn HOCKEY viewing numbers dwarf boxing.

They get around 6-10 million a match in the playoffs. Sometimes 12 million.

That's only because its free.. I refuse to believe

              CHAD DAWSON VS BERNARD HOPKINS

with Seth Mitchell on the under card, if put on free TV will do less numbers then hockey

Many boxers out there, quite a lot of champions are using PEDs. Many past great champions were very likely to be using PEDs.
