Even 2 were enough back in the day, if there were so many titles back then maybe ali wouldnt have fought foreman when he coulda got a world championship fighting someone else

The ufc markets their featherweight belt as a ppv main event becaue it truly defines who the best in the division is
    Agreed.

No it won't. That's a 100% guarantee. If they couldn't get it done back 3-4 years ago, they won't get it done in the future.

True, MMA ratings have been declining steadily. It peaked a couple years ago. Unfortunately, boxing is not doing anything to strengthen itself. Worse, if MMA becomes out of style (which I see happening in some circles ), it could taint boxing even worse.
I say this as a hardcore MMA fan.

the way UFC is ran will help it remain relevant, more so than boxing. much more profitable, even if their ppv events only do 800k (which is considered good in ufc ppv) they still have them on a monthly basis. and it's pretty much impossible to find a bar that plays boxing over ufc.

The problem is, most of their PPVs aren't even doing half that figure now . UFC on Fox 3 tanked abysmally. As did the Fuel event this week. I want to see the sport succeed, but the facts are that MMA in general is on a backslide. I think the most viable audience for any combat sport right now is the Mexicans and Mexican Americans. Boxing would be wise to continue to nurture that crowd.
