I don't hate Kirkland. He's an incredibly entertaining fighter who always has a punchers chance. If his name is on the card, I'm watching it.

But to me, he has a ceiling. Where he lacks skills he makes up for it with grit and determination. But that only will take you so far. He will struggle with any skilled boxer he faces.

It's just hard to hate on someone that fights any and everybody put in front of him and gives the fans what they want.

kirklands one of my favorite fighters, and is one of the top contenders at 154 - maybe not THE TOP contender as of right now, but he very well may prove everyone wrong once again.

Let me ask you this. If this Ishida theory is so true, then:

1. Why didn't the Vera that TKO'd Andy Lee, knock Kirk out in the 1st round?

2. Angulo hits 10x harder than Ishida; Kirkland shouldn't have even gotten up after the 1st knockdown. Even if he did get up after the first knockdown, he should've been blown to oblivion with Angulo's very next punch. Unless you're saying Angulo was gassed within the first 20 seconds of the fight.

3. Joel Julio who is a ****er who landed solid shots on Kirkland should've KO'd kirk within the first 3 minutes of the fight, yes?

Anyone with a brain would look at Kirkland and see that he survived punches from Vera, Julio and Angulo. So being stopped by Ishida obvously means something was wrong.

what does 1 fighter haved to do with the other?
kirkland got buckled by vera if i'm not mistaken and he did get dropped by angulo so that atleast shows that he doesn't have a super iron chin and can be hurt.vera is a sloppy fighter that throws wild shots ishida throws precise shots different kinds of fighters.
julio did not have the same power at 154 that he did at 147 so it didn't surprise that kirkland didn't get dropped ishida is a naturaly bigger man than julio
