Floyd would be absolutely foolish to even entertain parity with Manny. This latest statement from Manny is his way of clearly saying "HE DOESN'T WANNA ANY PART OF FLOYD MAYWEATHER". Manny knew fighting Cotto in his element (@54) wouldn't be good for his health which is why he demanded Cotto fight at a weight he doesn't fight at anymore. There was absolutely no hostility between Floyd and Miguel which lead to a respectful, sportsmanlike fight whereas there will be loads of hostility in a PBF/Pac fight. Manny knows he will get CRUSHED and HUMILIATED by Floyd, that's why the fight will not happen!!!
Pac could earn one dollar and give the rest of the money to Arum and it still dossent change the fact the the net earning in Pacs last fight was more then in floyd/Ortiz , go google it if you dont beleive me.

50/50 is a fair deal it is only arrogance and greed that prevents floyd from accepting.

You are just plain ignorant regarding Cottos weight,he had been weighing in around 146 fight night in his 5 fights prior to the pac fight.
In the Paul Malignaggi fight he weighted 138¼ lbs fight night.
Weight had nothing to do why pac won, pac was in his prime and he was just to dam fast.
Cotto weighing more would only make him slower and the outcome come sooner.

No wonder. My friend, working with someone doesn't make you any less of a boss.

Reasonable boxing fans: "This is a 50/50 fight"
Unreasonable Floyd Nuthuggers: "This is NOT a 50/50 fight"

The fact that you have many Floyd fans here that even admits that this should be a 50/50 fight shows you who's being reasonable and who aren't.

glad you have established that. now back to the actual point, if floyd is his own boss, why are goldenboy even there? why isnt it just mayweather promotions?!

What does one have to do with the other? Are you implying that if you are a boss you can't work with anyone else? Think about it.

All these discussionns about the money split and drug testing became moot when Floyd uttered two powerful words, "Self Preservation."

He's very adamant about not letting fans dictate who he fights. He said himself he's concerned about his health if he faces Pacman. For goodness sakes, this is boxing. Of course there are health risks. You should have chosen a different career if you can't take risks against the best.

What ever happened to "Pacquiao, you're next" and "take the test and you got a fight" comments? Now, it's no 50-50, it's Bob Arum's fault, I might retire again, etc. etc. It's one roadblock after another.

The only time Floyd sounds like he's serious about fighting Pacman is when he's promoting his next fight. Basically, he's using Pacman's name to sell his fights.

I am not saying he deserves anything because he is his own boss and never insinuated that. Just clarifying even though I feel you didn't mean that comment for me. Buffer says that because they have invested something in the fight. Whether its true or not but it has been stated many times that GBP only gets a flat fee for the work they do. Its not like PBF has to answer to them. This isn't a Gamboa Top Rank situation.

But I get what you saying.

The only thing I dont understand is if it's a 50/50 fight why does one fighter (Mayweather) make almost double what the other guy (Pacquiao) makes everytime they fight. I mean it's clear who's the bread winner. I don't think it's 50/50, but more like 60/40. I mean they've both pretty much beat the same people. I don't care that one beat them worse, I don't see wear that matters.
