I don't think I saw him throw a single 1-2 combo though. He really shouldn't abandon that. He was deadly with that simple combo. And fuck throw your new and improved left hook after it, and he would be knocking some blocks off.
He threw the 1-2 5 times according to my count.

Complete and utter mismatch. Kelly looks good, but his opponent doesn't really qualify for a good measuring stick. Anyone else catch the ref getting to know Jaco at the end, 'where you from? California?'

I guess I was paying too much attention to the left hook.

Its what you do if you think someone has suffered a concussion.

Maybe he saw something in Jaco's eyes.

                wow, kelly looked great!

ofcourse we need to see him in there with a legit oponent to see how much he really improved, once he starts missing punches and getting hit himself he might forget what hes been taught.

he was setting up his punches in more diffrent ways, not just the ol' double jab but leading with powershots and using feints too. his left hook looked alot shorter and crisper than ever before, he fought more on his toes too which enabled him to cut the ring off faster. looked like they worked on some defense as well, he was parrying more shots as oposed to blocking and showing some headmovement here and there.

he doesnt seem to have it all down just yet and like i said it might fall apart against a real oponent but its good to see him improving and evolving at this stage of his career. im acctrually excited to see him in a big fight again.

He came at in at 169 1/4 lbs. If he drops to 160 I wonder if he will have to lose some lean muscle?
