I don't see too many differences between the Linares who fought Larios with the one from the DeMarco fight - just the opponent. DeMarco drew him into that kind of fight.

You're right, Freddie may not be the right fit for him (and like I've said, I think Roach spreads himself too thin) but I just feel the criticism of Roach is a little OTT. It detracts from other factors that are to blame.

It's always the same - a good fighter loses and people say he should hook up with the Mayweathers (what has either done recently beside Floyd), Steward, or the hot trainer of the moment (Garcia right now).
Well, being a big fan of Linares, I must see it differently. I was never big on Linares hooking up with Roach. I was against it from when it was first revealed.

For me, I think Linares would do better with Steward than Roach. Just based on Steward's track record with guys with similar body structures and styles as Linares. Tall, longer arms, boxer mentalities.

I can't put all the blame on Roach because Linares is the guy fighting. But being a fan, you see Linares go from bright talent with a ton of potential to this. It's baffling and a bit frustrating.

You're saying that all 3 of Linares losses has come after he started working with Roach....That's false.

I'm saying that all 3 of Linares loss came after signing with Golden Boy....That is a fact.

So again you didn't fix anything now did you?
Well, you're right. One is an opinion and the other is a fact. And I know the Salgado fight came before Roach, I've been following Linares for a very long time now. Back when he was with Teiken.

But I suppose you don't really understand when people put "fixed" on another person's posts. So that is fine too. It's not always meant to be taken seriously. But obviously, you didn't understand that. So it's all good.

I must say that after watching the fight the stoppage did seem premature Linares was fully aware of what was going on and if that fight progressed i definitley feel linares would have taken control a big knockdown in the opening rounds doesnt necessarily dictate what is to come look at the cloud-campillo fight campillo was floored twice and went on to whoop clouds ass.

I do think it was a mistake to put him up against a big puncher right before the Demarco fight, but Linares had fought in Mexico before, and i'm pretty sure they didn't change the venue or opponent.

If they did, it was about 2 months before the fight, plenty of time for linares to prepare.

It was actually a month before the fight that they changed the venue. Linares thought he was fighting in Venezuela. If they where going to change the venue. Why not change it to Cali? That's where he trains, and Cali is where the rematch with DeMarco would be taken place. It makes sense. But, oh well...
