Comments Thread For: Lennox Lewis Discusses Klitschko Fear, Jabs Haye, More

Former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis is not surprised that Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko are dominating the entire heavyweight division. The Hall of Fame fighter admits that he was afraid that something like this would happen when he made a decision to stage his last fight in 2003. Lewis knew there was very little talent around to provide a real challenge to either Klitschko.

LMAO - Lewis will be remembered as an ATG. If lucky, you will remembered as a tool.

He should watch some of his own fights, like the one with Tua, before talking about style. The only difference was his ego before and after the fight, everything in between was the same. Also I highly doubt the US is losing potential boxers to golf and tennis.

To be fair to the Klitchko's the heavyweight division would be quite an exciting and competitive division if they retired. Its not their fault that nobody can compete with their skill sets and their size. Any great heavyweight from any era would have some trouble against the Klitchko's. Certainly they are boring to watch, but they get the job done and that's what boxers are meant to do. They beat who is put in front of them.

For people who are not happy with the heavyweight division, get over it! Plenty more divisions to watch. I would like to see the Klit bros retire also to see some good competitive fights but until that happens I won't be b1tching about the state of the heavyweight division. The only people to blame are the heavyweights themselves who have no desire or hunger become better fighters.

Lewis was a great fighter but he comes across a little bitter about the Klitchko's. If he knew like he says that nobody would be around to compete with them, he should have stayed around a little longer to take care of them himself. I think he regrets that he didn't and that's why he sometimes sounds bitter. A lot of people wonder if it wasn't for the cut that Vitali suffered during their fight would Lewis have beaten him. Maybe Lewis wonders himself.

Lennox is repeating himself every week at the moment when it comes to the Klitschko's, he seems more and more obsessed.

Come out of retirement and put those two robots in their place, Lennox!
Sounds like he really regrets not giving Vitali the obvious rematch, almost nine years on.

Vitali has been calling you out ever since, Lennox. The train has left the station though. Vitali is going to retire and Wlad would knock you out today.
Enjoy your retirement and give the Klitschko brothers their due credit or shut the hell up.

PS. Lennox was a great champion.

Lewis really has some bug up his azz,and I think it's the world-wide recognition the Klitschko's are getting that he never had. "...the Klitschko's are hurting boxing..." Really? They have fought anyone, and everyone who weighs over the 200 pound minimum. Vlad even rematched Brewster after an embarrassing beating where the whole boxing world questioned his chin and heart. Should they just retire Lennox, like you did immediately after Vitali took you life or death? Sounds like that would be the only thing that would satisfy you.
