I hate judging on intangibles (heart, killer instinct, etc.) so im not placing too much emphasis on my ratings for those, I based heart off of their ability to recuperate after being hurt in a fight, and Killer instinct off of their ability to capitalize once having their opponent hurt.....

How do people vote an 8 for Floyd's defense? That's insulting if you ask me.

Floyd is a 10 in everything except power and killer instinct. What I see missing in Jabs list is accuracy, which is very important. But I guess he just wanted to mention 10 things, so I left it out too. I think Accuracy is one of the most important things in boxing. I would have given Mayweather, Hopkins, Marquez, and even Cotto all a 10 in accuracy. Probably one of Cotto's best skills is how accurate he is, sadly that's his only real great skill.

And chin is not there either, cause chin doesn't equal defense, defense is elusiveness and how well you avoid getting hit in the chin. And IMO chin is not heart either. IMO heart is how well you recover after getting hurt and how you come back after getting hurt, and your tendencies on quitting a fight, giving up, etc. Chin is how well you take a punch, some one like Froch, Kessler, Margarito, Mosley, De La Hoya, these guys all have a 10 chin.

I had the same problem with some of mine. Certain fighters like Pacquiao their footwork is their only defense. Whereas Floyd's timing and accuracy is something I considered in the speed category.

Timing is just about as important as Accuracy in boxing.

                    Good post. It's a shame Counter-punching wasn't included too.

Yeah. I just think if power, defense and speed were mentioned, then other things like accuracy, chin, and like you said timing, should have all been there as well. But I understand Jab only wanted enough for it to equal 100 if you give all of them a 10.

Boxing is a very difficult sport with a lot of skill involved, and not mentioning some of these skills/attributes, basically takes away from the score that a fighter would actually have if you rate ALL of it.
