This is what Pac's promoter Arum said before Pac fought Mosley..
Asked on Sunday if he'd read the less-than-glowing reports of the controversial draw, Arum gave little reason to expect a Mosley-Pacquiao showdown.
"I did and I read them saying Mosley was huffing and puffing for air in the fourth or fifth round," Arum said. "To me, that is the real tipoff for an aging fighter. Even Big George Foreman did that in his 40s but he always had that big, big punch like in the (Michael) Moorer fight."
"What I've read is not very supportive to make any Mosley-Pacquiao bout. Look, he's going to be 40 and he's in the lighter weights where speed is so important. He's on a show with guys -- example, 20-year-old Saul Canelo Alvarez -- old enough to be his son."
"I guess Shane needs the money due to his matrimonial sitaution (a divorce under harsh California community property rules)," Arum said. "I've always considered Shane to be a nice guy but this is what happens to fighters when they age."
So um who's the cherry picker?

Floyd however, at 35, has made more money than any other active fighter. You ask Floyd if he'd fight until 40, I'm pretty sure he'd say "for what?". Hopkins has said it time after time, he's now just taking advantage of all the money he didn't make early in his career, he says he's making it now. Floyd is so paid, he shouldn't even be boxing anymore. He's simply boxing cause he loves the sport. Of course he loves money as well, with the lifestyle of his he needs all the money he can get.
About who can beat him. Well, who could have beaten Roy Jones when he was 34-35? Did any one ever think it'd be Antonio Tarver? For all we know, some low key fighter like Kell Brook can beat him, or in a rematch with Ortiz, Ortiz can knock Floyd's head off and stop him. At 35, that's it, you can no longer be safe on who can't beat Floyd. But realistically, I don't see any one from 140-160 beating him. Martinez is 50-50 right now for me. Cotto doesn't stand a chance, Pacquiao gets countered to death worse than Marquez did him, Bradley gets outboxed by Floyd.

I think it could happen, but I don't think it will. I just don't think he'll make it to 50 fights period. Mayweather's made it clear that he doesn't want to be retired by the sport so I don't see him fighting into his 40's. Also I don't see there being enough names that would bring the money he would need to be enticed into fighting that long. Personally I hope I'm wrong though. I hate the personality but I love watching the man fight.
