If Floyd fights Martinez @154 then his legacy is set

Obviously we all want to see him fight Pac

But if he defeats the former unified middleweight champ then I cant see how anyone could question his legacy should he then retire

Obviously haters and pac fan boys will be all over this.... but im just a boxing fan

He shouldnt retire but for me if he beats Martinez then yes. To me it wont matter if he loses a fight after that his legacy is set. But cannot have controversy must be a win in eyes of everyone.

If he beats Martinez at 154, he shouldn't retire, but he wouldn't need Manny IF THAT HAPPENED.

Floyd's legacy is not affected in any way by Sergio.

Sergio is Margarito's leftovers. He has fought one Wal-Mart greeter after another. He is irrelevant.

floyds legacy is non existent. he ducked at least 5 prime fighters and actually he doesnt even belong into the hall of fame. top 50 on the ATG list is where he belongs. name another fighter in the history of boxing who ducked so many fighters?

Hell i don't even think Floyd meeting martinez at 160 is far fetched to be frank. I'm probably one of the select few but I think Mayweather would fight him at 160 if Martinez would not back down from that (although he has done anyway)

IMO with respect to Mayweather...I don't think a Win Over Martinez does much for him, reason why is because MARTINEZ IS OVERRATED!

Because this ERA if boxing Standards when it comes to "GREATNESS" being a P4P fighter is EXTREMELY LOW, you score 1 Impressive KO (Donaire over Montiel) and all of a sudden your Top 5 P4P

same with Martinez, he KO Williams and all of a sudden "HE IS ONE OF THE BEST" same for Kirkland (Who I think Molina will box circles around), he lose to Ishida he is a BUM, he comes back and KO Angulo would burned himself out after scoring the Knockdown now all of a sudden people are back on Kirkland Bandwagon (I am a fan of Kirkland by the way as well but it was long before most starting paying attention to him)

So yeah I guess for Casual Boxing Fans who are ****** enough to believe that Martinez would beat Mayweather...yea it would come off as a BIG WIN but in actuality, I think Mayweather would defeat him much easier then people think but at this point Martinez only care about a Big Pay Day since he is not getting any younger

You should youtube the Mayweather/Costas interview. Anyone who watched it wouldn't have bothered making this thread IMO. I'm just a boxing fan too.
