gamboa knew that this fight was already made and that it has already been scheduled by hbo. if he has promotional problems he should have brought it up as soon as he found out they wanna make the fight. not when tickets have already been selling and presscons have been set.

Here's a guy who struggles with the English language. Is a great talent. And is surrounded by nothing but snakes. If he had a problem with his contract, there's no one he could turn to. Now he has a route out of this henious slave contract, and so is taking it. Everyone posting in this thread, would do the same if in Gamboa's position. So just chill, otherwise STFU.

Do you know the terms of this "heinous slave contract"? Please post them and a link to the contract. If not, how do you know it is or is not fair?

Also, wasn't Yuriorkis represented by counsel when these contracts were negotiated? Seems awfully likely, especially given that Yuriorkis is represented now when he wants to renegotiate them (by the son of one of Florida's most famous trial lawyers, Willie Gary, to boot).

This isn't a duck move. Why would Gamboa duck Rios?? Rios won't be able to catch him in the ring at all. It's a very unprofessional move, but not a duck.

So what part of the Twilight Zone was Gamboa in over the last few weeks when this fight had the date set and has been talked about on a daily basis??? Gamboa himself knew about and talked about the fight. He even said he was moving up to fight Rios! So weeks later after the fight is announced and the press conferences started, he decides to no-show???
