Yep he deserve a lot of credit, a lot of posters on here doubted him and were calling him out etc but it seems he has been proven right.

Anyways,Id Like to See Broner Kick Rois Ass or Id like to see Rios go up to 140 and fight Joan Guzman. That would be a War!
Gamboa was the one who wanted this fight. Rios was already set on moving to 140 pounds and only stayed because Gamboa was talking ****, and has been living in the gym since early January, and he signed the contract like 2 weeks ago.
Gamboa SIGNED the contract. If he hadn't agreed to anything he wouldn't have signed.
This is all just a smokescreen on his team's part to avoid the fact that Gamboa has now realized what he's gotten himself into, and doesn't want to get beat up.

and hes 18 fights into his career. what do u expect? ur making it seem as if hes supposed to have an amazing resume. the lopez fight was a good test for him and he passed, mebbe not with flying colors but he passed. vargas' career is doing just fine rite now. stop exaggerating.
Was there anything not true about what I said about MP getting evicted from their own office space? Relax, Floyd's promotions is not like TR in terms of machinery, that's my only point, deal with it.
And I don't exaggerate on Vargas, just my opinion. If Floyd got big plans for him then good, but when?

This thread is basically saying that this sucks. But, even though Gamboa basically just ducked Rios. And, screwed the fans over big time, screwed HBO, Mandalay Bay, sponsors, the fans who bought their tickets already. All them got screwed but it's OK since it happened to Arum. It would make it even better if Gamboa leaves Arum and signs with Mayweather.
All of a sudden Gamboa is getting paid peanuts even though he was getting his highest career payday. A few days ago, Gamboa was the favorite going into the fight, people were saying that Rios has no chance. But, now OMG, he was doing the unthinkable moving up 2 weight divisions(In reality he was just moving one, have of his fights have been at SFW). To fight a David vs Goliath scenario.
Whatever, if this fight is truly off, fuck Gamboa. Hope HBO blacklist his ass(he will have a home on Showtime for sure). And, hopefully a Rios-JMM fight can get made in July. JMM won't punk out.

little did they realize that they had to worry about JuanMa more
but they wanted this fight to happen because they wanted to cash in Gamboa before he left
why do you think they were so willing to let him move up two divisions for this fight

The guy is moving up 2 weight classes to fight the #1 guy there, and Bob is probably giving him peanuts for it. Then on top of that, Bob refused to make Gamboa-Lopez when they were both undefeated, which would have been a career highlight win for Gamboa and have his career soaring by now.
And what the **** @ the fans who are calling Gamboa p*ssy? If he doesn't fight Rios? listen to yourselves. A Featherweight going up to 135 to fight the #1 guy there would be one of the biggest wins of this young decade-2010-2019, because it's too much of a leap, vs too good a fighter, this ain't no Pac vs Diaz. So if he chooses not to fight him cause he wants better money for the risk, then so be it. He's supposed to move up to 130 anyways, not 135. Since when did it become a duck, for a Featherweight not wanting to fight the #1 LW? What the hell, that doesn't even make any sense. So Bernard Hopkins is ducking the Kltschko's now? Or Khan is ducking Cotto? Or Sergio Martinez is ducking Chad Dawson?Last edited by _original_; 03-05-2012, 03:53 PM.
