You basically want him to go backwards because the top fighters are avoiding him

Pirogs problem is that all the top fighters are too pu$$y to fight him
He's 31 freaken years old and in his his prime. He could fight 4 times a year. Twice in Russia for those paydays and twice on ESPN. It's not like he's getting in any wars and needs time to rest.

Hasn't Pirog stated that his dream is to fight in America? Or is his dream is to make millions fighting nobodies in Russia?

and plz dont compare the rigo situation to the pirog one, totally different scenarios.
Look at the MW picture and tell me how many of them fight on American TV. Ill save you the effort. Only 2 of the top 10!

        Bull***** excuse for avoiding him

its not a main event fight man of course they won't put up any real money he will have to make a lot less but the upside is recognition he didn't earn the right to get a main event or co main event money yet

he's probably kinda blacklisted for knocking out mr haymon's fighter, ...whats his name?

daniel jacobs? i think, that doesnt sound right though...you guys know who i mean.

but i agree, he wouldnt fight martinez unless it was in russia, maybe he can fight mayorga over there? would love to see more of the dude though. 160 needs all the good competition it can get. i would like to see him and quillin get at it

You seriously think Floyd and RJJ would go to ESPN and take $40K to fighting nobodies after making $1 mil fighting nobodies?

              Laughable

but with Hershman now at HBO I think he'll get another shot real soon.
Your only believing what you've been spoonfed. After beating the overhyped and untested Daniel Jacobs, Pirog has stayed at home and been overpaid to face bums and nobodies.
He's essentially shown his true colours, had he wanted to face anyone ranked in the top twenty, wouldn't he have already done it?

Gotta love these generic buzz phrases

                  "Get on tv"

                  "Make something happen"

The last time he was on American tv, he KTFO one of their most lauded prospects. But apparently that wasn't enough to even get him a post fight interview, let alone a return to the network!

Good I'm tired of this dude thinking that beating Danny Jacobs entitles him to make demands against solid veterans. He can stay in Russia and fight his hobos and make his money

So when Pirog calls out Martinez having beaten no one of any real relevance and having no name recognition it's admirable, but when Martinez calls out Cotto, who is supposed to be the best at 154 and is willing to fight him at 154 he needs to get his name value up? Can we set some consistent standards at least? Pirog doesn't want to put in the work to get name value in the US, he just wants to skip straight to the top on the strength of beating one prospect.
