Why give a flat rate just see what the fight brings in then split the profits 50/50.

    Whats the problem with that?

Only one from Floyds point of view, Manny will agree to it.
Whats wrong with it is the numbers don't say its a 50/50 split.

You keep saying floyd, but its Al HAymon, Harvard degree, Harvard MBA, very successful business man, as is Bob Arum. Bob and Al know the numbers.

You essentially want floyd to give manny more than the numbers say to make the fight. What about manny? Should'nt he take what the numbers suggest and not ask for a 50/50 split?

You can't have it both ways.

If manny is the bigger fighter why hasn't he offered floyd an amount? If he did, what was it?

Would you ask Manny to split 50/50 if the numbers were in his favor?
Floyd agreed to a 50/50 split but now is moving the goalposts. Guess Floyd was lying when he said If Pacquiao agrees to the test we can fight.

      Manny is the bigger fighter.

      Pacquiao vs Marquez III 1.41m
      Mayweather vs Ortiz 1.25m

Maybe Floyd will say he wants the fight at 154lbs next.

The numbers suggest that Manny deserve more. Lets say 55/45 to Manny, thats what the numbers say.

Unlike Floyd he never asked for anything unreasonable during negoiations. So ofcourse Manny wont offer a flat amount.

If Manny asked for anything over 50% then that would be unreasonable. But he hasnt.
          Oxn:

Be straight. floyd didn't decline any of manny's requests.

Manny asking for 50% is "unreasonable" when the numbers suggest he shouldn't get 50%. Of course Manny would offer 50/50 if a review of the numbers (and although we fans kick around official and unofficial ppv sales and everything else we know Bob and Al know the real deal) said he should get less.

You know if it were the other way around manny would never give floyd 50/50 when the numbers say not to.

What ever happen to the mantra "you're only as good as your last fight?"

And based on the last fight, Manny got more buys.

              yo!
manny dont need Floyd. Hes already rich. And has another career. He also has fulfilled a Legacy. Broken and set records. He also wont be played like a fool either and give Floyd More than he deserves. Manny's only desire really is to **** Floyd up for good. By doing so i mean ... beat the living *** outta him!

              word!

All you *******s need to SHUT UP!. First of all 40 million dollars is a freakin LOT of money. I bet you Manny Pacquiao doesn't even have 40 million dollars. Floyd had a fight against Oscar de la hoya that broke ALL pay per view records. 2.4 million buys, Floyd got 20 million dollars. If the fight sold 2.4 million pac would be making twice as much as Floyd did when he fought Oscar.

Second the other day he was saying he wants a garunteed purse of 28+ million dollars for a fight with Marquez? Wasn't he saying that he agreed to take a lesser share of the split but he just wanted to fight mayweather?

Third.... there is no telling how much this fight will sell. It may not hit 2.4 million. I think it has a strong possibility of hitting 2 million. But lets just say it sold 1.5 million. 40 million dollars out of that is a helluva lot of the pie. And its more than manny deserves anyway. Coming off of 3 @$$ whoopings from Juan Manuel Marquez.

Floyd is a ***** end of.

So floyd could walk away with 100+ million easily i may add could be more.

And pacquiao gets 40. Its not fair, and al haymon, and that *** ellerbe dont know what they are talking about.

Your opinion is manny is the bigger fighter. PPv sales, gate receipts, and all other economic factors combined show otherwise. If you can't admit that its fine with me.

Leave opinions out of it. run the numbers. split the purse. its really not more complicated than that.

The point still remins how can you duck someone by offering their biggest ever payday~

Whatever Manny makes it isn't 40 million in one fight. He certainly is in his right to refuse the offer and to ask for more, truth be told he deserves more.

Still what is his fixation on what Floyd makes and the split why is he not concerned with making his biggest ever payday~

Why do certain fighters get lambasted for turning down a biggest career purse yet others get a free pass~
