I like Cotto-Mayweather. Cotto's mainly struggled against pressure fighters, and although Floyd is very difficult for anyone to solve, I give Miguel a decent chance in this fight - more of a chance than he has against Manny because of styles.

Pretty clear Cotto is thinking the same as us.

He knows he's got a better chance of beating Pacquiao, so that's the fight he wants. But he's not gonna get fcuked around in negotiations this time and he does have another huge fight option.

Thing is, if Cotto can just do a little better than we all expect against Floyd, he'll still be really viable. I know it's a stretch, but if he could put in a DLH type effort against Floyd(How I think the fight would have gone in 2007) he won't lose much stock at all.

For those saying Cotto shouldn't do this and that, remember that he wanted to fight Margarito at 150.

Does anyone really want to see Floyd vs Cotto? I won't even watch it and certainly won't pay for it.

At 150 to 154 Cotto would beat Manny , its so much different than 145 Cotto , when discussing Manny people should always mention the weight in relation to the focus of your statement , because Pac doesnt like to fight them without a draining CW .

Trouble is, Mayweather doesn't, never has.

No one wants to see Cotto/Pac II, but best believe it's gonna happen.

Its interesting at 154 , but I think Floyd gives him a boxing clinic anywhere from 147 up .

Keep cotto away from mayweather we all know the out come. Cotto can not perform at the highest level. What I cant understnd is team pac is turning down 40 mil with mayweather to fight for 20.

I'm glad Cotto is in a stronger situation promotionally now than he was first time around with Pacquaio, so he won't be bullied by Arum and Pacquaio into an unnecessary catchweight.....if Pacquiao wants to fight for someone elses 154lb title, why not fight at the actual weight??....i know it's a strange concept to him, but....

Cotto with all the cash incentives might agree to a 148-149 catch weight.

In all of Manny's catchweight fights it only has benefitted him. Catchweight are fine if the two best around the division are apart and in order to get the fight done both sides compromise.

There is no reason for Manny to be fighting so many catchweight fights, it only benefits him. Drain them to strain them
