Miguel Cotto's career has been tarnished by a cheater, and it's a shame. He has arguably the best resume of this era, and should be considered an all-time great. His style is exciting, he's humble, but confident, and will take on any challenge. He's never been known to duck anyone in his weight class (unlike Floyd and Manny), and he will know before anyone else when it's time to hang them up.

I hope he gets a fight with Floyd AND a rematch with Manny. He deserves it. Granted, a fight with Money would have been more exciting 3-4 years ago when both were on top of their game, but still...

I agree, I think PBF/Canelo is a little more intriguing than PBF/Cotto at this point. Cotto needs to aim for a Mosley or Clottey rematch. Or perhaps Cory Spinks. Anything else would not be good for him.

Cotto looked great in his last fight, especially with the jab and movement. And Pac didn't. That could make it interesting as long as Pac doesn't make him fight at a lower weight, but Pac may not let Cotto fight at 154.

couldnt agree more, some ppl just refuse to admit that cotto looked alot better with his new trainer. i feel he can beat pac ina rematch, but as u stated it has to be at a higher weight which pac will not do. i dont understand y cuz he wants cottos 154 belt so go up there and fight him for it..he sounds like a b*tch imo by sayin he refuses to fight higher the 149. its not like cotto is a big JMW

All Cotto does now is throw a few combos and then back up with that little shuffle. As soon as he gets hit with any meaningful punches he gets hurt. He can't fight at an elite level.

Let me get this straight. Rabbi Foreman was good because he was undefeated? But he lost his very next fight and probably won't fight again.

Mayorga has been a bum for years, yet he lasted almost 12 rounds. Margo is a cheating bum and wouldn't last 6 rounds with any top flight fighter.

All Cotto has done is pad his record with has-beens. He gets KO'd by both Manny and Floyd inside of 6 rounds, regardless of weight. Cotto's wife and kids cry their eyes out just before the run out of the arena because Cotto's face is a bloody mess. I just don't want to see any of it.

No YOU have no clue! Every fighter takes the path of least resistance. Promoters promote. And managers manage. Fighters fight who they want. I'm not buying the BS of Arum manipulating things. If we all know it, then these fighters know it as well. And guess what? They go along with it.

Maidana's leftovers, LOL, and dude has no mental strength, just like Judah. People talking about Cotto won't land power shot's, are you ******? Oscar caught Floyd mad times, that fight could have even went to Oscar. And he was over the hill, coke sniffin'. Cotto would have ****** that Oscar to ****, especially before he was damaged by plaster master. But **** it, cuz Cotto lives too far. He was gaining my respect calling out Manny but now with this 50-50 ****? Always something. Cotto don't play these games. At a comfortable weight, he's going to give Pac AND May a tough night, especially with a real trainer now that fits him.

Martinez wont see the 12. Mo Fo is severly overrated, he remains me of Hozumi Hazegawa a couple of years back. Everybody thought he was all that till he met Montiel. Cotto will be MArtinez Montiel!!

Martinez would KO Cotto something awful. I'll bet you 20MIL on that if the fight ever happens but Cotto already went on record that he don't want to fight Martinez but he would Chavez Jr? Cotto got skills but I think his flaws have been exploited and against any durable, skillful fighter that he can't hurt will break him.

When questioned by the LA Times as to why Margarito, an unranked opponent, was chosen over Martinez, Cotto answered:

What other names are out there for me to make money against? Floyd, Manny and Antonio. You think Sergio Martinez will make me this kind of money?

He's playing it safe with the money excuse in regards to Martinez.
