yes - very tru. but to say it shouldnt be 50/50 is also a joke. Floyd knows the fight wasnt gettn done at less than 50/50. it dont mattr that Pac said he'd do less than that. Pacs point was he wanted to do the fight. If Arum wanted this fight - Pac would take it in a second. I was all on Mayweather's side, now he's just as much of an impediment to this fight as Arum if he thinks he's gettn more than 50% of the pot. Ridiculous.

it was my understanding that the 50/50 split was already agreed upon. and i just dont but floyd calling espn(could b wrong) as arum has always used espn to call floyd a coward via PTI. after all this time the purse split was never questioned. but i will agree if that is the case i will allocate blame to both parties. in the past when arum put up that silly count down clock and said there was a second round of talks. floyd did not come right out and say it was not true. he eventually said there was never a second round of talks. and i believe him as haymon was not involved in the talks. it was said it was greenburg trying to get the fight done for hbo. but if al haymon is not involved, floyd is not involved. but time will tell.

yeah but call it right pac boy. floyd beat oscar at 154lbs pac wt drained him to 147 a wt he hasnt fought in 7 years. clottey didnt try to fight. but when he did throw he landed and pac looked worse in the end.he took a dive. mosley who pac ducked twicw and only fought after he signed with top stank. took a dive. cotto pac made him drop 3lbs even though he was a ww and should have fought him at 147=beat him on the scales. floyd fought different fighter. while pac withe the exception of the 1st two JMM fights(the 3rd was another in-house fight) only fought in-house fights the past 5 years= set up fights except the marquez fight. pac= protected fighter who ducked many fighter in all his wt classes.

r we back to this - pls. Pac was a 2-1 underdog to oscar - did the weight rdain affetc him, probably, but their's no way a few more lbs wudve made that much of a difference. even 5-6 lbs more, Pac wudve beat him bc the speed diff was ridiculous.

If anything Floyd missed Tszu at 140 when he was ther for 3-4 fights and Williams at 147 when Williams was considered a lb 4 lb fighter. my point is that there are always guys that u can claim someon shouldv fought (people even claim Leonard didnt wana fight Pryor even though Leonard fought evryone)
Pac is an all-time great who is one of the tp 10 fighters ovr the past 25 yrs. but to hav a chance to have 2 top fighters at same weight at same time happens once every 10-15 yrs (Leonard-Hearns, Chavez-Whitaker are the only other 2 I can think of during my lifetime when # 1 and 2 lb 4 lb fighters faced off) If they dont fight by the end of the yr, forget it. They are already at past their physical peak and will be well past their prime if they do it any latr than this yr - and I will never forgive all the parties involved!

Their summary is accurate, because the e-mail that was apparently received by Stan Verrett is highly questionable..... but they dropped the ball imho.

If FightHype want to provide proof that the e-mail is not legit, then they could simply contact Mayweather for confirmation. I know for a fact that Ben Thompson has Floyd's cell number.

1.) The money split has not been an issue since 2009
2.) Why would Mayweather advise ESPN of the negotiation progress?
3.) Why would he contact Stan Verrett, of all people?
4.) Why did Arum respond immediately?
5.) Why was Arum's response only reported by Michael Marley?

It looks like the e-mail is bull****, but that has not yet been substantiated.
