Fighting Cotto again is a lot worse than Floyd not taking 50-50. This is just pathetic, but not surprised, it's Manny Pacquiao. He's been cherrypicking since he picked Margarito, then Mosley, then Marquez which blew up i nhis face, now this. Cotto I was also a cherrypick, but the fights after that make that fight look like an actual challenge. It was a cherrypick because Mosley was the best fighter he could have picked at that time, but didn't because he was too dangerous and "too good".

I'm disappointed even though Cotto is my favorite fighter, I really do want to see Manny/Floyd. I REALLY wanted to see Cotto/Mayweather but Top Rank probably gave Cotto a huge contract which is something they knew Floyd would never offer. If this fight takes place at 147 I'm not paying for it, (yes I'm even a hugger who got Cotto/Mayorga.) at 147 though, I already know the outcome.
However, at 150 I'll definitely get it as it isn't JUST the weight that would be helping Cotto. In the first fight he was a B fighter as people say, at the time I didn't think/see it, but just looking at him post the first Marg fight once he lost his uncle as trainer and started training himself he just regressed. Specifically his footwork and what he used to do GREAT which was technique which IS the way to beat Manny, outbox. Cotto had a LONG amateur career, people saying he can't box simply don't know ****. Watch the Marg rematch he was turning and not staying stationary, the complete opposite of the first Manny fight where he stood there and just slugged it out, then after he got hit he ran but just ran RIGHT into the ropes. It was an exact replica of the Marg fight, well we just saw what he did to Marg. Forget the wraps but the strategy, turning away from punches, staying out of the ropes, holding on the inside.
Finally, where one thing Cotto that does help Cotto is even at 145 his punches were still getting Manny's respect. At 154 he is punching MUCH better I feel and Manny simply isn't going to take a punch as good as Marg or even Foreman. They are simply bigger guys, the power will have a bigger effect on Manny this time, even if they use 8 oz. gloves. 10 oz would favor Cotto, he picked off a lot of punches from Marg with the bigger gloves, certainly helps.
