He would've retired that night beating EVERY man he ever faced with at least top 3 or 4 heavyweight resume but a crooked makeup call saw to it that he'd keep on fighting til this day trying to pick up fragmented pieces of the belts Lewis threw in the trash to all 3 governing bodies rather than to face the eventual champion successors of all 3 belts.
Regardless.. since he's been reinstated.. his only losses were back to back title shots vs Ibragimov who was running all night & scared to engage a 46 yr old fighter & Valuev who some feel he won ALL 12 RDS against... he struck out in his bid but is looking for his final shot vs either brother. 2 W'S in a row is all it would take for him to retire as the best heavyweight that ever lived. I suggest we buckle down & stop whining about the Klit's comp & how overweight & clueless they are & give the ONLY fighter out there capable of beating them a chance... you know the whole world will watch it.. HBO would put it on there network for sure.. regardless of how they would market it.
Peeps will just turn in to see how badly hurt Evander will be but they just might get the surprise of a lifetime & the ultimate of all ultimate sports stories.. if anyone is capable of defeating such insurmountable odds it's Evander & the fact that no one is even giving him the benefit of the doubt is a travesty considering his history. He's already on equal terms when it comes to being in 100% physical shape like the brother's (how many heavyweights curren tly can say that?..
I'LL GIVE YOU the answer A big fat zero) He even has more boxing experience & knowledge than both the brothers (again .. only one who can say that) & has been in at least 6 title fights with guys almost as big or bigger than either bro) what are we afraid of.. WLAD is 35.. Vitali is 40.. Evander is 50.... NO one mentioned here is a spring chicken.. in fact... most consider 35 as a heavyweight that is past his prime.... let's make it the phock happen!
