You know aweek before the pac marquez fight in november mayweather came out and said I got a deal for pacquiao and he better sign it for a fight in may now I'm reading pacis saying he wants to fight mayweather next here it sayin mayweather is gonna fight guererro now and the way it looks pac is gonna fight marquez again which I can totally enter tain but man can somebody tell me and the rest of the boxing world what the hell is goin on here... do these 2 really want to fight each other or what??

Did you read the actaul interview of Pac or are you basing your assumption from the snippet of that interview that boxingscene posted while
conveniently leaving out pertinent information. You need to go read the actual interview. Basicly Pac says that he will insist that Arum make Mayweather the #1 priority over the others on the list but then goes on to say and I quote "I don’t choose fight. It is my promoter who does because it’s his job." That interview and article was all over the place and somewhat incoherent. My take is that Arum decides when and where Pac fights and Arum has already stated that Mayweather is not on his list of opponents which means Pac will not fight Mayeather on May 5th.

Honestly, why the hell would Floyds camp leak their fighting Guerrero because of Pac telling phil- journalists he wants Floyd? To make himself look bad?

You do realize all of this just makes Floyd look bad? Why would he want to do that?

If you want to connect the "Pac wanting Floyd next" with this story, surely theres other possible scenarios that are much more likely?

My logic is that the news of Mayweather's fight with Guerrero is information being put out there so Arum can use as an excuse not to pursue Mayweather.


A way for Mayweather to get out of the big fight without making himself looking like he's the one dodging. Let it leak out that he's already got plans.

They are using to press to cover their asses. That's what I'm saying. Ever since he got his delayed sentencing we haven't heard anything solid until now. After the delay, It should of been all about Manny wouldn't you think?

Now, a fight planned with Gurrero didn't just happen overight night. And funny how it's a Mexican fighter to accomidate his May 5th date. I believe that was the plan all along.

Only thing I can think of were demands. For a such an easy fight as the Mayweather camp has commented it amazes why they are so demanding and put out these requirements. Where's the logic in that?
