@ this coke sniffer.....he got a gift against an aging B.Hop...I doubt he gets by a younger version of Ex...nah, can't see him beating Dre or Chad....and IMHO I do believe Kessler would've beaten Joe in a rematch

Joe Calzaghe didn't even fight Froch or Dawson, so how am I supposed to believe that he would fight Ward who is clearly better than them? The only people he fought that was of any significance was Kessler, Hopkins and Jones Jr. Lacy was tailor made for him not Ward in my opinion. I pick Ward to win that fight. Calzaghe always relied on speed and fought mostly slower fighters. Ward is considerably fast and a very good technical fighter. If Hopkins would have let his hands go then Joe would have clearly lost. Not hating on Joe because he did him but can't really say what he would have done to Ward because Ward is younger and better than everyone he fought.

That fight with Calzaghe could have went to Bhop but homie didn't let his hands go. After the KD Hopkins should have finished Joe off but he didn't want to get hit. I think Joe would have smoked Dawson. Chad is too hesistent and lets his opponents get their work rate up and Calzaghe had the best work rate by throwing numerous punches in an overwhelming fashion. Kessler got beat and think the rematch would have went the same way. Out of all of them. Bhop had the best chance at beating Calzaghe but dropped the ball. No way would Calzaghe have beaten Ward.

Joe would have smashed wards face so bad boxing would be illegal in all countries from that day. Come on he gave hopkins the worst beating I have seen before. Even though some ******s actually thought the fight was close. Ha Ha makes you think the world could probably use a few more shrinks for these people.

it's actually easier to hurt or break your hands when you throw those open handed punches so i don't really see your point. your knuckles are tucked a little so when you hit someone with your open hand it smashes them. it's not a 100 percent open handed slap but it's as close as you can get in boxing terms. and he doesn't throw slaps because he hurt his hands. he hurt his hands because he throws slaps. always has. watch his early fights. yes he throws straight shots now and again but his main arsenal has always been slap warfare.
Your "punching power theory" is all wet. When you punch with your knuckles, properly, the power travels directly from your feet, abdomen, shoulder, arm and ending at the knuckles. A sideways slap. particularly inside a boxing glove, has minimal impact and effect, and does no damage to knuckles, how could it, any impact is absorbed by the flexible wrist.

The only damage you might do from a "slap", would have to be from a real "winder-upper", needing lots of time, and a huge backswing. Calzaghe did none of this, how could he?? I'm only speculating anyway and don't believe even this for a moment.

From your comments it may be that. like most other posters, you have never REALLY boxed. But as I've often seen on this site, there are guys who say they DO box, but are completely ignorant of the mechanics of what they are doing. Even so, common-sense and a little reading could remedy that.

Calzaghe acts like he's been gone for ages. Get off your coked ass and prove it. Ward is skilled. Calzaghe is unskilled and sloppy.
