Calzaghe was one of the all time great. Ward will give him a good fight but I see Calzaghe winning decision here.

how can you talk about fouls when calzaghe throws every punch illegally with the inside of the gloves? how was it clear when calzaghe was outlanded in most of the rounds and hopkins punches were much cleanerm harder and shook calazaghe up on multiple occasions? the only thing clear was calzaghe was throwing more but if that equals winning then boxing is truly dead. you see the thing is and really the hard part of boxing is actually landing the punches. why not give credit to hopkins for making calzaghe miss(defense) instead of blaming hopkins for calzaghe' terrible accuracy. just throwing is a cheap trick that shouldn't fool anyone with boxing knowledge.

yes and that was wrong then and it's wrong now. we have the video proof to dispute that.

it's actually easier to hurt or break your hands when you throw those open handed punches so i don't really see your point. your knuckles are tucked a little so when you hit someone with your open hand it smashes them. it's not a 100 percent open handed slap but it's as close as you can get in boxing terms. and he doesn't throw slaps because he hurt his hands. he hurt his hands because he throws slaps. always has. watch his early fights. yes he throws straight shots now and again but his main arsenal has always been slap warfare.

I think you are incorrect in saying that Hopkins fought Toney either in his prime or any other time. He deliverately restricted himself to fightng smaller, nondescript part-time boxers at middleweight, (making himself a well protected 6'1.5" middl understand understance at a title shot, I caneweight) having a huge advantage over every guy he fought.

Hopkins is as far as i'm concerned one of the least deserving champions in history.
A 5' 8.5" Marvin Hagler, who was a small middle, and had to persevere for well over 50 fights before he got a chance at a title shot, avoiding nobody, I can understand, and he also had many 160 lb worthy challengers who kept him busy until he finally, near the end of his career got the big money change he'd been looking for. Calzaghe hands down the most overrated boxer in a while, the biggest names on his resume are Jones and Hopkins and that was when those guys were past their best days, and he barely beat Bhop, it's still a controversy til this day, but the cokehead Joe never wanted rematch. what else has he done, beat Kessler ? thats another bum that gets too much credit he fights like a zombie. ward would outbox calzaghe but why is he talkin unless hes coming back and if he does return the first guy who will be down his neck is Hopkins.
