When Bob tried to take control, they left.

The great thing is that this quote is coming from Team Pac.

When anyone else says it, they are a *****. Right?

They are about as worthless as reading an article on Floyd from Phil-boxing or whatever the hell that site is called.

Manny is facing Marquez next and it has nothing to do with him ducking Floyd...but have fun with this circle jerk thread.
Damn, after all this, your still fightin' to ignore the truth? Now that is dedication and hardwork....

I still like the move by Manny and his camp.

Manny lost some things in this fight. His aura of toughness/invincibility is the main ingrdient for selling the floyd fight. If you go with the good vs evil thing You have to believe the hero can beat the villian to sell this fight.

Manny didn't look like he could beat the villian on Saturday. He also looked alot less popular because he got what people think was a bad decision based on his popularity.

This way they make Bob the bad guy. Manny gets to play the victim role. Now they can repackage the fight as humble underdog against the unbeatable ******* who burns money and has 30 cars.

Instead of bad vs good its rich vs. poor, which is a better suited marketing ploy in this day and age.

But they make Manny look like a simpleton who is being controlled by a geriatric ***ish gentleman.

Cotto is like this as well, he fights whoever Arum puts in front of him. It's not a coincidence that both Cotto and Pacquiao are not native english speakers and don't seem to have a lot of business savvy. They seem to be happy to delegate business decisions to other people while fighters like Floyd and Oscar made it clear they wanted to take control of their career.

SInce manny isn't from America I don't believe looking like that has the same effect on him as it would an American. Besides he still retains his respect in his home country.

Like old school WWF when Brett Hart was a hero in Canada but got ****ted on when he was in the US when he wrestled SHawn Mickeals.

That's what I'm saying. Manny is a global boxing superstar there's no way in hell he shouldn't be able to pick or dictate who he wants to fight next. He should take more control of his career the first opportunity he gets without any big legal repercussions.
