Gamboa is barking up the wrong tree. He's going to get beat unmerciful. He ought to just stick to shoe shining the other midgets at 126.

If Gamboa can maintain his power and speed at the weight of 135 then I like his chances against Rios. If not.... Gamboa would probably outbox Rios for a while until he got caught. The smarter approach would be to take on a solid guy at 130 or 135 just to see how he handles the transition to a higher weight. THEN fight Bam Bam. But to fight Rios right away just shows that Gamboa just might have more balls than brains.
Unless he sees something that the majority of us fans don't.

Weird Fight To Make But Gamboa Fights best against Guys That will come at him so i say easy night for him or wide UD Bam Bam Gets shocked and Blown out of the water. Btw Regularly Gamboa Carries Himself at 135 so i dont see any issue with the higher weight he comes in fight night at almost 140 so idk why people making a fuzz about the weight.Last edited by DannYankee; 11-02-2011, 04:43 PM.

You make a good point about Gamboa doing good when people come at him, but still, it's the overall size that have people picking rios. Not skill.

Chuck***, get a damn clue. Boxing is different from running. Boxing 101 for you: Pernell Whitaker stayed in the pocket and outboxed guys. Running gets a fighter booed and yes, midget Gamboa will most likely be running when he feels Rios's power and size.Last edited by richardt; 11-02-2011, 08:57 PM.
