i gotta admit , this guys defense is ****ing impressive as ****.

What da h#ll are you thinking?
If you are scared and no plan of an offensive strategy, you concentrate on defense and not to get hit. Is that the reason why you are impressed?

Was a bad match the day they signed it. I have seen about 10 of Narvaez' fights and they are seldom even remotely close. He dominates with Great defense and quick-handed combinations. Although he had no shot against a much bigger, stronger and younger opponent Saturday, I was disappointed he didn't throw more punches. Narvaez is good enough that he can hit and not be hit and he usually throws a lot more punches. It does seem like he gave up in the second half of the fight. I look forward to seeing if he can come back from this and make some noise at 115

good for narvaez but man, why does he start trying to push his career to new heights so late? he should've been fighting around south america and mexico for years now, not just in argentina. good luck to him though.

I would've liked a better fight for someone of his caliber of fighter & record. I would expect Narvaez to live up to Martinez and Maidanas fighting sprit and gall. Knowing before the fight that Narvaez was an Argentinean i was very excited and after looking at his record of no losses - I has a really big boner for this fight. Granted he had the disadvantage in weight and arm length - I was still excited because Donaire was taking on an Argentinean. Knowing that alone, you would expect a real fight. Boy was I wrong, El Hurucan only came for a paycheck I'm afraid. Oh well, bring on Arce and Nishiko - at least we know for a fact that those two will fight.

Usually the status quo is he ran all night, but that little guy didn't run anywhere.
How if he can't counter off it? I'm surprised at some of the comments on here, he shouldn't have signed to fight Donaire if he didn't want to run the risk of getting knocked out, that didn't excuse his performance.

LOL at people here for being a fan of "fighting to survive" not "fighting to win."
