What did you expect, the size advantage didn't really let Navarez do anything. He was coming up in weight against a bigger faster and more powerful guy than himself. No surprise.

Nonito did good, but has to move up already.

LOL, all the replays showed Nonito hitting gloves and getting tagged. Lets move up in weight against better fighters.

what a bull***** fight. this is pathetic how some guys go into fights with the pure objective of proving they wont get knocked out but with absolutely no plan on actually winning.
donaire was right, that was pac/clottey all over again. Narvaez like clottey, had my respect going into the fight and now has lost every ounce of it after that terrible performance he put on, sure he was the much smaller fight, but its more about the mentality he had going into and during the fight. he just wanted to prove that he could go through the fight without getting hurt and that is not the point of boxing.
Fuuck.... this is the worst year of boxing I have seen in a very long time.

The decision was lopsided, but in my opinion was all wrong. Donaire won, but Naervez basically made Donaire look very ineffective. And I think he won at least 4 rounds. From about the 5th-6th rd on the crowd were booing regularly with very little, if any, applause. And booed when the fight was over. Donaire hit gloves or missed about 90% of his punches, no matter what the judges decided. And Naervez kept picking away with his very good straight right, which, along with a few very good left hands puffed up Donaire's face rather well. He looked as ifhe'd been in a fight.

The most impressive fighter of the televised portion, for me, was the guy who KO'd his opponent in the 1st of a six rounder. Mikey Garcia packs a good KO punch but is too easy to hit, didn't move his head.

I think some of the guys who write the articles don't even watch the fights.

Looked like he outboxed him thru out the fight too. Touched him w/ shots to the head. ND's face was knicked the **** up from being tagged for 12 rds. Nonito couldn't impose his will & all those physical advantages. #respect

I guess the only way to make a good fighter look regular is to cover up for 12 rounds, punch 1 for every 10 punches your opponent throws and lose a very one sided fight.

          Narvaez just wanted to survive.
          No respect from me

Narvaez is a dweeb. His title should be stripped and shouldn't be given any more matches. He doesn't want to do boxing. He just wanted to hide on his shell.

Bring on Jorge Arce. Any Arce fight is a BRAWL, and a Donaire-Arce fight will be more than a BRAWL. I gurantee it.

Yea!! I have know idea what ever made him say or think Donaire was a F A G!! Ironically it was Narvaés that looked G A Y not doing anything to win & to make it worst, the ROPES did MORE DAMGE to Donaire than Narvaés!!

Only peoblem w/ ur comparison to barker is Barker was bigger than martinez & ultimately succumed to punishment & got ktfo...Narvaez made nonito look like he couldn't impose his will on him...

Narvaez is also a world class fighter and is much more skilled than Barker.

Narvaez just showed the worlrd the skills of a defensive boxer...just like what chivken Floyd Mayweather Jr. is. Narvaez avoided to engage in a fight with Nonito hoping that Nonito will get frustrated living his guard open, but he forgot that Nonito is a true Pilipino fighter who came in prepared for anything that Narvaez will bring in during the fight. At the end of the fight as expected...the Pilipino wrecking ball emerged as the clear winner by a unamous decision. One thing good with Narvaez...he took the offer to fight Nonito Donaire even though he knows very well that he does not the chance to win against the Pilipino slugger and not like chicken Floyd Mayweather Jr. who retires everytime his name is being called out by good opponents.

                      DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

I'm more impressed with Narvaez than Donaire. Narvaez is old school and knows how to time. Can't the judges see Narvaez landed cleaner punches? They may have been few but they were cleaner and more solid!

It should have been a DRAW!!!

What was Donaire hitting? He was missing, swinging wildly like an amateur, and hitting gloves all night. How many times was he able to connect? 4? 5 times? Come'on! Narvaez tagged him a couple more times specially in the early rounds and in the 12th round.

                      Should have been a DRAW!!!

Donaire too excited to KO Narvaez. He should have stayed in front of Narvaez and waited and countered. It would have E.Z. work for him! He didn't have to move around too much. He was the taller guy! He should have been the one waiting and picking Narvaez apart. He was just too eager to KO Narvaez to prove his hype!

                      DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

Donaire will get creamed by Gamboa and/or Juanma in less than 5 rounds! So don't go up in weight yet Nonito. You have yet more to learn in that weight division before you get too ****y and even think about fighting Gamboa or Juanma!!!
