After last night perfomance I doubt even more he can beat Salido, Gamboa is out of his leage.
My hard earned cash on Salido when they fight next.

I think he meant he's ready to get his ass kicked by Gamboa and Salido.

But I don't think much of Gonzalez so JuanMa can probably beat him, but if he can't, he's worse than I thought.

Based on Juanma's last performance he is not ready for any of those fighters.

He's fell in love with his power and he now throws wide punches with sloppy technique and leaves himself wide open with his chin in the air.

If he did that against Gamboa or Gonzalez, they would knock him out. If he does it against Salido again, it would be the same result.

What he needs to do is tuck his chin in, get his damn hands up and get back to boxing.

That said, no offense to the Gamboa fans but this dude is STILL a knockout waiting to happen I still maintain that it will only be a matter of time we’ll be talking about Gamboa the same way we are talking about Juanma right now. He’s next on the “should have, would have, but couldn’t” list!
Oh, I'm fully aware of that; I've been following these guys for a while. But I was referring to JuanMa's tone (or perceived tone). Before, Lopez took a much more "whatever my promoter wants" attitude. Now, JuanMa sounds far more determined (although he did throw in the requisite "whoever my promoter wants me to fight" line...lol).

As for Gamboa...who knows? You could be right. But I seriously doubt it. Yuri has been on the receiving end of a few flash knockdowns, but he's never been hurt. JuanMa has been out on his feet before (against journeyman Mtagwa, no less) and he got TKOed by Salido. Gamboa has never even looked anything near that. Yuri has clearly been working on his defense; Lopez hasn't. JuanMa should take heed.

Whatever the case...the fact is that JuanMa's stock is on the decline and Yuri's the man to beat at 126. If Gamboa moves up to 130, as he says he is in his next fight, he'll take over that weak division, also.

Juanma looked like dog **** last night, he was slow and his defense was still awful. To be honest it looked like he was semi shot.

He certainly looked that way, but I doubt he actually is.

Difference is Gamboa has suffered flash knock downs where he gets up right away and showing no signs of being hurt.

JuanMa has been hurt badly by weak opposition like Mtagwa, knocked out against Salido, knocked down against Concepcion etc.

Please, don't try to group Gamboa with JuanMa. JuanMa has shown countless times that he's a couple of notches below Gamboa. You say Gamboa is a KO waiting to happen. But the fact is Gamboa hasn't even lost a fight and barely loses a round.

                  LMAO!

I'll give you 4 to 1 odds that Salido beats Juanma. My 8 million against your 2 million?

                  PM me if you're interested.

The highlighted part is a particularly good point. Yuri loses very few rounds. The ones he does lose are usually attributable to "taking a round off".

Lopez has won most of his fights by relying on his great KO power, but he hasn't always appeared exactly dominant. Gamboa's superiority has never really been in question, even for one round. Yuri has shown much more versatility in his fights. Gamboa has torn right through guys like Garcia, Mtagwa and Solis. He's demonstrated patience and toughness versus Salido. His defense, once criticized, has shown the effects of obvious attention in the gym. Finally, Yuri has shown an almost purely boxing aspect to his game versus Ponce De Leon. Gamboa is here to stay....

I'm a fan of PR boxers too homie but damn, your taking it too far. Juanma Has Looked horrible recently. His Defense is terrible and he is easily beaten to the punch. He gets caught with a lot of shots that he should see coming. I can't pinpoint everything he does wrong but he has some huge flaws. Seems like he's always in horrible position and leaves himself open whenever he fires. Especially with some of his wide looping shots. Juanma is not going to be one of PR's Greats. I understand u repping for PR because I do too but Juanma is not that great of a boxer at this time. He really needs to work on his fundementals.
