Tosh is ancient for his size

very easy to understand why he wants to have a goodbye fight and retire

Very skilled fighter and good to watch. Him and the Japanese Gatti Joe Tatsuyoshi were both brilliant and exciting fighters of that time and Nishioka is still going strong), and he is past his best too. Probably still has more left in the tank but he is clearly slower of hand, reflex and is thus using his boxing skill and tactical plan more to compensate. He is, and always has been, a very, very fine fighter.

It's a pity he's only getting any time now that he's in the twilight of his career. BW was a great, great division back when Sahaprom was the best. It's because it was ruled by Japanese and Thai fighters largely that they were unheard of by most in the US etc. He's been a great fighter for a long time now though. I don't think there are any today, apart from maybe Donaire at his best, that would have beaten Sahaprom in his prime. The guy was a beast and his and Nichioka's fights were excellent.

Anyway, I was 99% sure that Nishioka would win. Still has a bit more left than Rafa.
Yeah, it was fun to watch him really think in there. Going left, right, feinting.

      A true scientist.

I'm actually interested how a fight between him and Chemito would go. I can imagine both showing great movement and boxing, while trying to figure out each other's puzzle.

I don't think of Nishioka as ancient for his size. He has reportedly had zero trouble making weight in recent years, and he hasn't been seriously hurt in any of his fights that took place in the last 5 years or so. Well, I don't know about that. Mr. Honda, promoter of Nishioka, once told him to hang up the gloves when he suffered an Achilles tendon rupture. Oh well... again. But not this time man!

Nishioka did his thang again...but i guess the title will go to Donaire in 2012...no way he will beat him...

A good overall bout but didn't think it was as close as c j ross' 115-113, she needs to clean her glasses and concentrate....the Japanese would have tuff time vs Arce or Nono

It was a good fight, Marquez kept letting rounds get away from him. He would land the better shots for the first half of rounds, then Nishioka would come back an outdo him in the second half to win the round.
