carl froch has fought THE toughest run of opponents among contemporary boxers in the last three years

pascal (lineal LHW champ later on. )
taylor (former lineal champ at 160. bad style for froch)
dirrell (one of the most purely talented fighters in the game. i had him beating froch)
kessler (former champion, hell of a chin and a rough style for froch with his faster hands)
abraham (had only been exposed once to this point and was still getting picked by some to win. former champion at 160)
johnson (you all know johnsons creds. i don't need to mention them. the guy is a borderline hall of famer. former champion at 175 and fighter of the year)
and soon to be andre ward (maybe the best young fighter on the planet not named nonito donaire)

all in a row. nobody can come close to that. i challenge ( :headband: ) anybody to name one contemporary fighter with a lineup of opponents like that.




he's not fraudulent. he's one of the most honest fighters out there.

he's exactly what he's billed as:

a physically limited fighter who will fight anybody on the planet one after the other, and probably lose to somebody with fast hands and feet and solid boxing skills.



a fraud for me is a protected fighter who is protected because he sucks. keeping him from good comp., then, prolongs the farce. sven ottke is THE eurofraud. everything about that guy drives me to the brink of breaking ****.

Simple standard: Post-WWII if the fighter is from Europe then they're a fraud until proven otherwise. Very few prove otherwise.

There were plenty prior to WWII. After the war.....Benn, Graham, Eubank, Lennox are about it.

Carl Froch is no fraud
Ricky Hatton beat Tszyu, Collazo ,Castillo and only lost to Mayweather and Pacquiao
Amir Khan Beat Maidana and will no dout deserve a place on this list by the end of 2012

Farl Croch is the poster boy for active Eurofrauds.

The only quality names on Hatton's resume are washed-up Tszyu and Castillo. Might as well beat up corpses.

Khan got KTFO in one round by a nobody and has never beaten a name fighter who wasn't washed-up.

He got completely exposed by Barerra. His style was way to amateurish for my liking.

I consider his style more unique than amateurish. his natural abilities allowed him to get away with things other fighters could only dream of.

Yet many are/were frauds. It's something about the culture of European boxing. Firstly, only a small handful of European countries participate (UK, Ireland, former Soviet) with the odd champion coming from France, Denmark or Germany. Secondly, the undefeated record is an important part of promoting European fighters, which makes our friends across the pond accuse them of being 'overprotected' and not fighting real competition. Of course many great fighters come from European families but are considered as American citizens (Dempsey, Marciano, Baer, Jeffries, Corbett, Pep, Tunney).

for quite some time now you have fought your way out of europe and not the other way around. this cant be overstated. to use a term i loath "it is what it is."

but you see the difference between the "world level" or more appropriately usually the top of the "american" level (fights in the states)
and the europeon and british domestic level


both of those guys would get horribly beat up by guys of their size over here (marquez, broner, gamboa, and of course brandon rios, would would swallow them whole)
