I think Marquez's style will continue to create headaches for Pacquiao. His ring IQ is gotta be in the top 5 and he's a tough SOB. I hope he's kept his speed while bulking up north of 140. Could be an incredible fight!

you're basing marquez's ability to fight at 144 against ONE FIGHT! against mayweather - the most awkward style to fight!

Honestly i'd be shocked if Pac didn't KO Marquez around the 10th round. Pacquiao is whole another animal at this point and Marquez just isnt fighting at his natural weight. I think speed advantage will be too great but JMM will keep it interesting for the first 5 rounds because he's one best technical fighters in boxing history. JMM will give him fits before Pac starts wearing him out and KO's him.Comment

I think it will depend on how Marquez decides to come to fight. If he comes to fight like he did with Katsidis, and Juan Diaz, where he got hit way too much, I think the fight gets stopped inside 5 rounds.
However if Marquez decides to be a bit elusive, stick, move and counter punch then this fight might go the distance. Mosley's back peddling gave Pacquiao issues, in their fight; he just couldn't ever seem to get off and really take it to Mosley, so if Marquez can do the same while countering, he might be able to at least make it competitive.Last edited by JJRod; 09-21-2011, 09:32 PM.Comment

Pacquiao should not KO Marquez, he should let Marquez win some rounds to make it a close fight, to make it seem like he struggled against Marquez, KOing Marquez will kill the Mayweather fight, but it might backfire and Pacquiao loses by decision.

One thing I do know is that Pacquiao, Roach and his entire team are not taking this fight lightly. I found it very strange that they would insure a rematch clause for this fight.
Bob Arum always said he didn't believe in rematch clauses which is why Clottey, Cotto, Hatton, Margarito and Mosley didn't have one. Yet for Marquez they insisted on one.Comment
